Um, hello. I hope everyone is getting this message. [ Please meet Shigeru 'awkward' Miyata everyone. He's totally got this. ]

I'm Shigeru Miyata and I was just texting everyone to let them know that if you get sick or injured here I can be of some help! Back in my world I'm basically a doctor and my powers allow me to heal any sort of disease or injury you might have! Cuts to missing limbs, I can heal and repair most things including inorganic objects as well! Some of the more extensive injuries will take awhile longer, but I don't mind helping especially if we're working together here!

So if anyone here ever gets sick please let me know and I'm sure we can help each other out! Oh and if anyone wants to learn first aid or anything like that, I think having lessons for people would be a great idea too!

And I guess another thing is...does anyone know where to get some drawing or painting supplies?

[ He hasn't really gone out much since the festival, no thanks to his phobia, and he would love to find out where to get some supplies. It helps calm his nerves and he could use that right about now. So if you're on the second floor you might see him currently writing up his network post in a nice comfy corner of the shared living space. He doesn't seem to bad off, but his gloves are stained with blood, a product of washing his hands one too many a time since arriving here. ]

[Well... unfortunately for Shigeru, Letha comes from a world where healing magic is very, very taboo. She can't help sticking her nose in to throw her two cents his way.]

If your magic backfires, you can send the bodies my way. My cousin was an undertaker, and I have decent skill in helping the dead become accustomed to their situation.

Backfire? My powers don't backfire in that way! They're very...straight forward in how they work, so there's no need to worry about that ever happening!

[ Except when, you know, he turns into a monster when he loses control. But that usually doesn't happen either. ]

Well, one can expect such claims from a healer.

[And one can expect such blatant prejudice from a necromancer. Letha.]

If you ask me, your power is unnatural and disgusting. Just thinking about it makes me sick.

[ Letha no. Shigeru already deals with this sort of thing back at home. It doesn't really hit him as hard as it normally would at least, but he still frowns at the comment. ]

You can say that about anyone's powers here though, even your own. I use mine to help people, and I know that it might be strange, but if people need my help as a doctor it's my duty to use my powers to do so.

[ He doesn't know what she has against him, especially since they just met, but he won't let it cloud his judgement. ]

[How dare you be nice to her, she wants to fight.]

There's nothing unnatural about necromancy, nor is there anything so dangerous or putrid about it. Extending the life of those who are meant to die is pointless at best, and it makes the dead so annoying when they whine about it...

[She doesn't seem to realize how ironic her issue is.]

[ Excuse. Shigeru is too pure to really fight anyone unless they seriously piss him off. Which she's not doing but he is getting a bit sad that she feels so strongly about healers. ]

Bringing someone back to life is also a bit...taboo, isn't it? In my world it is at least. But even in my own world people like me are regard in fear anyway. Healing them before they die...it helps them too. I don't see why anyone would complain about either or. I just...use my powers to help whoever needs it, that's all.

There are far more repercussions to giving someone a false sense of immortality. If medicine cannot heal someone, they're meant to die. Extending their life forms an addiction to revival, and it's sickening.

And I don't bring people back to life, I give new life to corpses. It's very different.

it doesn't sound very different to me. But how come giving life to a corpse is different from bringing them back to life?

Well, you're a stupid healer, I can't expect you to understand subtleties.

Bringing them back to life would give them control,
and the false sense of immortality that goes with it. Giving them life gives me control,
as long as I need them, while they remain dead. Everyone wins.

where are you? we should know a place to go in case we can't reach you.

Oh! I'm on the second floor in the community housing for now. I hope to eventually make enough money to rent out a house or some other space to open my own clinic.

Yes that's right! I guess you could say they would something like...magic? I was born with them and everyone in my family has them too!

[Scott may not be Tony Stark, but he's a man of science! Which he normally uses for the forces of slightly-ambiguous good!]

So, like, what? Crystals or wands? What kind of woo woo you got? [UNLIKE a certain Kurt, he's not going to blame gypsies. That's racist. ]

[ Shigeru shakes his head rather emphatically. ]

No it's like that kind of magic at all. My magic stems from...I guess a curse you could say. It's just a latent power that only some people have because the god of darkness cursed our families way back when he tried to take over the planet.

[ It's not as happy or fanciful as, well, wands and crystals. ]

Do you cure stupidity too? It kinda runs in my family. Thankfully it skipped me!
