[Thom's head pops up on the screen; he was getting comfortable with the communications device now thanks to prolonged exposure and having met a fair few people around the quarantine zone. It wasn't like he had his old reputation here so it was easier for him to appear calm and confident when it came to addressing other people. He has a small smile on his face, the familiar look of communal housing behind him.] Hey! I'm Thom... I had a question, I guess? [His nervousness is concealed, but it still comes through a little in the way he doesn't quite look directly at the camera.] I know everyone's having a tough time right now but like, does anyone here play Basketball?

[His eyes light up talking about it, his enthusiasm clear on his features.] I was thinking its been a while since I hit the court and I'm guessing there isn't one here, but I'd like to maybe shoot some hoops, if anyone's interested?

[Probably not the face you'd expect to see replying to this, a hollow-eyed man with greying skin--but all the same.

A low chuckle is first given in response before the question is asked:]

Depends on what kind of game you're offering. You prefer Half-court, or Street style?

[Definitely not what he was expecting and well, maybe Thom is just a little alarmed.] I'm good with half-court. Or full court, if you really want a workout. [Except that would just involve a lot of chasing the ball around but he and Goran were big fans of putting each other through their paces.]

Don't mind the full workout. Most people just wouldn't want to give me the advantage of a bigger court.

[Because chasing around the ball was easy when you didn't exactly have to run.]

Why's that? [Thom was mostly just curious. He was used to training with superheroes, after all.]

Probably something to do with the Super Soldier genetic changes I went through.

And the fact that I can choose whether or not to have a physical form.

[There's a grin on his face, one that makes it hard to tell if he's being serious or just really edgy right now.]

[Thom gasps a little at the term.] You're a Super Soldier? [The way he says it and the way his eyes suddenly zero-in on the video feed infer that he actually has experience in that field.]

That's what I said, wasn't it.

I went through SEP. The Soldier Enhancement Program--when I was in my 30s.

[Even if the whole Zombie look made it hard to gauge his age, it doesn't sound like he's lying does it.]

Wow, I only know like one Super Soldier... he's pretty cool. [Except the guy Thom knew definitely didn't look similar with regards to being a zombie. He was in the peak of fitness, after all.]

Can't say I know any. Haven't met any here, and all the ones back home are supposed to be dead.

[Thom sighs a little at that.] That's always the case, isn't it... it always sounds great and then you're actually in it and its pretty terrible.
