Welcome to the first edition of the bi-weekly IC events blog. Everything covered in this post is available in a well-written blog post format on the Riverview Quarantine homepage. Feel free to have your characters respond to this entry as if they are using a comments section on any internet article.

sampremi wrap-up

● The Government of Riverview would like to thank the residents of the Quarantine for one of the most festive and successful Sampremi celebrations in years. There are a series of short blurbs and pictures of some of the more popular booths, and a spotlight bit on some of the various cultural food, clothing, and jewelry.

● One of these special spotlight panels is on the Feast of Saint Nikolina hosted by Wanda Maximoff, with a list of sponsors that helped provide supplies for it.

blackouts and brownouts

There are two articles about the difficulties with the power in the Quarantine.

● A short, slightly sensational article about the power outages around the city, with various speculations as to what might be causing it - fallout from the storm, broken down equipment that will leave the city vulnerable to monster attack, or the portal sapping the power due to all the recent arrivals are the main suggestions.

● A longer article covering some of the negative effects of the blackouts, such as stalled transit vehicles, a few interviews with affected citizens, and a statement from the Government of Riverview and the Perimeter Guard that they are doing everything they can to find the cause.

things to do

● There is an advertisement for a Blood and Tissue Drive at the Riverview Hospital. Residents are offered small cash incentives to donate blood or tissue for blood transfusions, or samples for cloned organ replacements, or to provide cloned foodstuffs for people around the city who need blood or flesh to live on.

● A few small articles spouting rumors about a colony in the abandoned city and some stories from people who've found a healing spring in the jungle.

● March 19th - March 25th: Moderately cloudy with periods of sunshine until Thursday, when intermittent rainshowers become heavier rains on the weekend.
● March 26th - April 1st: Rain clears up on Tuesday leading into a warm, sunshiny week, with clear skies and sunshine on the weekend.
● April 2nd - April 8th: The sunshine on the weekend will wash away with intermittent sunshowers and clouds throughout the week, drying up on the weekend.
