[The video opens with a rather hesitant looking Shiro. There's really nothing behind him as of the moment, but he does glance over at something almost right as the video kicks on]

So... it seems this place just keeps getting weirder. It seems we had some recent arrivals from our world and well... it's better to show you.

[He turned back to whatever he had been looking at]

Come here. You can come here.

[Faintly in the background there was the sound of metal moving off screen then something walked into view of the camera so others could see it. It was quite clearly a black robot lion with glowing yellow eyes, several panels glowing blue, and red wing like protrusions on its back. It's was larger than a normal lion. It walked over and sat down next to Shiro, leaning in as though trying to figure out what he was holding]

This is the Black Lion of Voltron. However, its usually not this... small.

[Yes, he is calling a robot that's larger than a normal lion small]

I'm usually shorter than Black's foot. Let me see it.

[This he says to the lion, which does raise one leg to let Shiro have its foot, but it basically drops all the weight into his hand which makes him flinch]

You are still made of metal and heavy.

[Someone might be able to faintly hear the snickering in the background, but then the next thing that happens is that Keith suddenly fell into the frame of the camera as though shoved by something, a vague red blur before it vanished. Shiro jumped when this happened and the Black Lion got up heading off camera again only to return a moment later carrying a smaller red lion by the "scruff" of the neck as Keith sat up. Shiro just put his chin in his free hand watching as Black carried Red off before he remembered this was still rolling and turned back]

They don't know their own strength.


[ooc: Meet your new neighbors, two of the lions from Voltron! Black is about the size of large liger and Red is the size of a small lion. They are... slightly more active than normal, but will probably be around their specific paladin for the most part.

Either Keith or Shiro is available to answer. If you have a preference or if your character is pinging a specific person, just let us know. It can even be both if you'd like! If no preference, random response.

[This was only getting stranger, which was saying something considering Ed's history.]

[Yes, Shiro thinks this is strange too. Black sits down beside him again and leans again like it's trying to see the video feed too]

We hadn't either until we met them back home. This is Black, the head of Voltron. The other is Red, which becomes the right arm.

Yeah, the store I used to run in another world. It showed up here a few weeks ago, Al and I have been working on getting it set up.

This is the first time I've seen a portal bring through .... relevant things from our past, I guess.

That's... also not something I would expect to happen, ending up with a shop.

Usually it brings things that are irrelevant?

[Have Black now leaning in even closer, nose practically to the phone]

I've never seen a portal bring through anything that wasn't alive, before. People, animals like Pokemon, sure. A whole building?

[Whether the lions count as alive or not might be debatable, though. Plus, kryptonite had come through in Purg, but he wasn't aware that those weren't something native to Purg when he found them. He also wasn't really in his right mind at that point, but details...]

[He couldn't help it either. Ed had set up that bad joke perfectly and Shiro had just taken it]

So inanimate objects don't usually come through... or partially inanimate objects.

[Going to move the phone now so Black's not staring directly at it anymore]

I guess these guys are somewhere between the two. They technically aren't alive... but you try telling them they aren't.

[As Black rather determinedly tries to look at the phone again]

In Purg we had living dolls and puppets. I wonder if they work the same way when it comes to the portal.

[They certainly wouldn't be the first pets to come through, and it was already confirmed they weren't the first "inanimate" object either. If both could come through, there was no reason something in between couldn't also.]

I'd rather not, I'm sure it wouldn't end well.

Maybe? I don't know what a living doll or a puppet would do.

[Frankly, he feels like this is something he doesn't need to see. He already had an issue with the Altean training dummy and if these things looked even remotely similar to the Galra drones...]

I doubt they'd hurt someone over it, but- can you not? You're heavy.

[Shiro said this because Black was leaning against him, trying to still look at the phone. Once called out on it, Black straightened up like it hadn't been doing anything]

They came through, just like us. By that logic, a pet that's not really flesh and blood might also qualify here? Since this place brings in pets, too. A living robot, rather than a living doll.

[He has no idea what he's talking about, all of this technology stuff is beyond him. At the display though, Ed's eyebrows raise before he inclines his head slightly as if to indicate 'see?']

Sorry, heavy metal lions don't really sound like something I'd want to argue with, that's all.

I guess they are living robots then. I'm clearly not telling Black to do this.

Yeah I don't really want to argue with them either.

[He looks a little skeptical at that offer, but he offers a grin in response.]
