Video Open | un: blacklion

[lionunchained]

[The video opens with a rather hesitant looking Shiro. There's really nothing behind him as of the moment, but he does glance over at something almost right as the video kicks on]

So... it seems this place just keeps getting weirder. It seems we had some recent arrivals from our world and well... it's better to show you.

[He turned back to whatever he had been looking at]

Come here. You can come here.

[Faintly in the background there was the sound of metal moving off screen then something walked into view of the camera so others could see it. It was quite clearly a black robot lion with glowing yellow eyes, several panels glowing blue, and red wing like protrusions on its back. It's was larger than a normal lion. It walked over and sat down next to Shiro, leaning in as though trying to figure out what he was holding]

This is the Black Lion of Voltron. However, its usually not this... small.

[Yes, he is calling a robot that's larger than a normal lion small]

I'm usually shorter than Black's foot. Let me see it.

[This he says to the lion, which does raise one leg to let Shiro have its foot, but it basically drops all the weight into his hand which makes him flinch]

You are still made of metal and heavy.

[Someone might be able to faintly hear the snickering in the background, but then the next thing that happens is that Keith suddenly fell into the frame of the camera as though shoved by something, a vague red blur before it vanished. Shiro jumped when this happened and the Black Lion got up heading off camera again only to return a moment later carrying a smaller red lion by the "scruff" of the neck as Keith sat up. Shiro just put his chin in his free hand watching as Black carried Red off before he remembered this was still rolling and turned back]

They don't know their own strength.


[ooc: Meet your new neighbors, two of the lions from Voltron! Black is about the size of large liger and Red is the size of a small lion. They are... slightly more active than normal, but will probably be around their specific paladin for the most part.

Either Keith or Shiro is available to answer. If you have a preference or if your character is pinging a specific person, just let us know. It can even be both if you'd like! If no preference, random response.

[Red purred.]

Oh wow... thanks, guys. Teaming up on me now.

[He sighed, but he wasn't annoyed. If anything, Keith seemed more amused than anything else. Still, though, bonded 'mama cat' needed to make sure he was okay, so she stepped up to him and pressed her forehead against his hip. He had to shift his stance just enough to keep his balance. She was still learning how hard she could do that.]

It's fine.

[ Marinette couldn't help but giggle. ]

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Besides, you know girls tend to stick together.

[ She added with a grin - though watching him interacting with Red like that was so precious. The lion really was fond of him. Aww. ]

[tempredmental]

I always wondered what that was about.

[Red purred a little, but wasn't telling him any secrets.]

[ Marinette grinned. ]

Sorry Keith, ladies secrets. [ Unless Red told him, but since he seemed still confused bout it, she doubted that the lion broke the Female Code of Secrecy(tm). ]

Not that all women get along, unfortunately...

[tempredmental]

[Keith shrugged.]

I wouldn't know about that.

[He looked a little sheepish.]

I'm kind of glad, though, that Red's here. I mean, I've been describing her to people, but no one was really believing me. I guess it did sound a little strange.

Though, we don't have the other three, anyway, so we can't actually get them to form a mini Voltron.

[Which... sounded kind of funny in his head, really. And, at the same time, a little nerve-wracking. The idea of the Lions forming a mini Voltron and running around all by themselves was a really intimidating thought.]

[ She reached up to pat his shoulder. ]

Count yourself lucky. [ She hurms. ] It's kind of odd that they didn't believe you - I mean, there have to be stranger things here than a giant robot lion, right? ... Not that I'm saying you're strange, Red.

[ You're wonderful, you're beautiful, you're perfect! Good kitty. ]


A.... a what now?

[tempredmental]

A mini Voltron? The Lions. When we have all five of them and sync up, they transform and link together to make an even bigger robot warrior called Voltron.

[Because what else would you do with a giant psychic robot space lion?]

[de_evilise]

....really? [ She glanced at Red, trying to imagine her as part of a giant robot. ]

Is the robot warrior a cat too? [ Or a humanoid cat. ]

[tempredmental]

No. Oddly enough, it's human shaped. Though the hands and feet are the lion heads. Red here makes the right arm. The Black Lion over there is the head and chest. That's why it's so much bigger than Red. The two lions that make the legs are a bit bigger than Red, but still smaller than Black, and the Green Lion, which is Voltron's left arm, is the same size as Red.

[de_evilise]

[ Marinette looks thoughtful, staring at Red for a few minutes, trying to picture this. ]

That sounds really cool, actually. And you're all still inside the lions when it goes... um.. Voltronny? [ That's probably really disorienting. A thought occurs to her, and she glances around. ]

So wait, do the lions stay in here for the time being? I remember you were saying you were looking for a new place, last time we trained.

[tempredmental]

Yeah... we are... it's pretty weird, but pretty awesome at the same. Like, everything has to be in complete sync. Otherwise, it doesn't work. It's a strange feeling to have that connection between five different people and Lions, but really kind of amazing at the same time.

[He glanced around the garage, too.]

Yeah. Red could probably squeeze her way upstairs, but she might be over the weight limit for the elevators. We'd have to get her up the staircase. And the second floor is pretty crowded right now.

Black, though... way too big. We'd never get it through the stairs, and I don't think we could even get it to fit in the elevator, let alone worry about the weight limit. And Shiro's all the way up on fifteen.

We were thinking of finding a place anyway, so now's a good time as any, I guess. We'll just need to find somewhere that can accommodate them.

[de_evilise]

[ Marinette smiled,shaking her head. ]

That really is cool. I can't even imagine what it must be like, to be honest. [ Well, wait, that wasn't ENTIRELY true, she did pilot a giant mech that was part cat and part ...ladybug themed for a fight. But it was a two seater, and she needed her partner to properly move in it. ]

Ye-yeah, I think that he'd get stuck in the stairway if he tried. It's too bad they can't just change their sizes at will.

[tempredmental]

Oh, man... that would be cool... smaller to be in the house with us, and then full size outside so we could pilot them normally.

[Red looked at him, her head tilted a little in curiosity.]

We'd get the best of both worlds, Red.

[That seemed to amuse the Lion. Keith smirked a little.]

[de_evilise]

[ The thought actually makes her look a little pensive. ]

Huh. You know... some people have said they developed abilities they didn't have before here. I wonder if that would apply to Red and the Black Lion as well.

[ Come to think of it! She peers at Keith curiously, rocking on her heels a little. ]

Or you and your friend Shiro for that matter.

[tempredmental]

Developing abilities they...

[He considered that. Lola had picked up new powers.]

It's possible. I wonder if that's something that could happen. If it did... we could pilot them normally again, and still be able to hang out with them like this.

[Red purred. She seemed to like the idea.]

[ Marinette nodded. ]

I mean, she's a sentient being so... stranger things have happened? [ She makes a face. ]

I'm beginning to feel like that should be a motto around here.

[tempredmental]

Yeah... I feel the same way sometimes.

[But that was kind of his life in general, anyway, since leaving Earth, but Riverview was pushing even his expanded limits of what was strange.]

I'm glad, though, that I got to show her to you.

[de_evilise]

[ Awww. Marinette gave him a smile at that last. ]

I'm glad you did too. She's awesome. [ Awesome just seemed like a subpar word to use to describe the lion though. She folded her hands behind her back. ]

I should probably get back about now though. I kind of dropped everything and hurried down to see you guys. [ And TECHNICALLY she didn't have to since it wasn't like there had been a time limit, but excitement. ]

[tempredmental]

Oh, right. Yeah. Of course.

[Keith nodded.]

I'll see you later, then. Yeah?

[de_evilise]

[ Marinette nodded with a grin, giving him a thumbs up. ]

Definitely. Keep him out of trouble, Red~! [ She added, amused as she waved. ]
