[ This is an unusual sight, really. Otabek has his chin resting on one of his palms, propped up. He looks pretty content. There's a hint of a smile there, too. He is pretty happy, right now. He's holding a pen in his other hand. He's working and taking notes. He clearly has some intention to make this at least a little bit about business. He scribbles a few notes for a few moments. You can hear a few meows in the background. A little black kitten is climbing up the back of his chair, and before he gets the chance to speak, this ball of fluff is making her way onto his head. He shifts his body, putting the kitten in his lap. Instead of taking notes, he is petting her as he talks. ]

Change can be such a great thing, in work and in life. I'm finding that some - well one - of these changes have made work easier. I'm feeling a little more inspired on the job.

[ Even though he hasn't even said that much, he feels like it is a lot. The kitten seems to get fidgety, and he whispers something to her. She climbs up onto the desk walks across the keyboard, blocking out the entirety of his webcam, before jumping off the desk. He watches her for a moment, turning in his chair and then back to the camera. He picks up his pen again.

Back to work. He has an easy time talking about work, at least. ]

But I have a couple of events I'd like to do over the next couple of months.

[ He even has a few things in mind for both of these. ]

The most important is a Halloween party at Element. It would be on Halloween. Costumes recommended - not required, though.

I don't celebrate it at home, but I know people love it, and my job is to ensure you have a good time. So if you have input I am welcome to it. I am letting everyone know now, and asking now, so there's plenty of time to plan and finalize everything.

[ With that. He reaches forward, about to turn off a camera. He pauses.]

Oh - and these kittens are getting so big. If anyone wants to visit them, I can make time.

[ And he turns it off. ]

I love it. It depends on what you'd want to know. We're mostly friendly. I wouldn't trade it for anywhere else.

I've lived a lot of places, too.

I have too - but there's no place quite like home is there?

There's nothing like home. For me now, though, it's here. I wouldn't want any other place.

You don't plan on leaving then?

Not unless Yuri and I leave together. I don't want to leave him behind.

Yuri? I'm afraid I haven't had a chance to meet him yet.

Ah, yeah. You'd definitely know if you had.

[ Smallest, affectionate smile. ]

Big personality, I take it?

Very big. He's got a lot of personality.

[ It's definitely a compliment. ]

How did you two meet?

[bringbackgold]

I compete for Kazakhstan, he competes for Russia. But we trained together a little several years ago. And competed against each other more recently.

[ It's been nearly a year, though. Now that he thinks on it. Wow. ]
