Anyone else died before coming here? Or died and woke up here?
Did you wake up feeling everything from you wounds when you got here?
Do you still get phantom pains?
Any memory issues?
Nightmares?
Hallucinations?

[And it's definitely not a lie and she's definitely not having all those things listed and more and she's definitely totally fine]
no subject
(Yeah, she's not buying this one! Sorry South.)
Dooooo you want to talk about it or
no subject
[She insists, frowning at her screen and considering letting any even a tiny peek at any weakness out, deciding to send something minor]
Just getting used to the loss of depth perception, so.
[Then, after a moment or two she sends another message]
Did you see anything when you died? I didn't.
[Yeah, she did, but that's...not a thing she's going to talk about]
no subject
(Not that it's the same thing but. Yeah. That sounds frustrating.)
No, I just saw a white light. But that's what I usually see when I die, so I wasn't exactly perturbed.
no subject
Literally I am missing an entire eye and still getting used to it. Not something I'd think anyone can help with. It's not a problem, I can shoot fine, fight fine, I'm a-okay. Just keep knocking shit over when I reach for it, nbd.
[She's tempted to go into detail of her shot out eye and everything, but she's also not about to admit to having real issues, for a multitude of reasons]
So. Dying's a regular thing for you. Yeah, that's fucking normal.
no subject
Have you considered magic? I'd offer to help but I'm no evocation specialist.
And uh, yeah, it is normal, in a way. I used to be in a situation where I was temporarily invulnerable, that's all.
no subject
I mean, I'd guess they'd have offered that in the hospital, wouldn't they? I know they can bring us back but I don't know if they can undo damage done to us like that.
That's. Weird.
[which is blunt and she pauses a second before shaking her head. yeah, that's strange.]
no subject
Maybe? I have to confess I don't know a whole lot about how the hospital situation works here. (Which is kind of funny, because she's dating one of the doctors, oops.)
Yeah I know. Trust me, I wasn't a big fan of it either. Where were you before you ended up here?
no subject
[A chance to fight and to save people- start trying to sway the shit she's done to make things...better. She can't complain at all.]
Yeah it's kind of impressive. I mean, literally bringing people to life after they die so. I don't know, I should probably ask if they can like. Regrow eyes or shit.
I was- in a shitty place.
no subject
(Always good to know there are people on standby just in case though.)
You should give it a shot. There's a lot going on here– so many people. There's gotta be somebody who has heard of regrowing an eye.
No kidding. Was this in... uh, a fight? Or a battle, or
no subject
It was a...I'll call it a fight. It's a long story.
no subject
Yeah? Well, you can count me curious if you'd ever like to talk about it.

I do get nightmares sometimes, but no memory issues or hallucinations.
Are you getting those?
Re: text; @eddie
And no, I'm not getting any of those. Just thought I'd ask in case they come up later.
no subject
You?
no subject
I caught a bullet with my right eye. Didn't exactly go well.
no subject
Ouch. Can I ask what happened?
no subject
I'm going to say coworker dispute. Life of the space marine. It was either him or the friend-turned-monster, so. Guess a quick shot to the face was better than being ripped to pieces.
no subject
Space marine? Like Starship Troopers? Damn.
I'm sorry that happened to you. But space marine sounds like a cool job.
no subject
But okay. No permanent heart shit going on, then? Cause I lost my right eye and figure it's probably normal for everyone.
no subject
Not that I know of. I haven't been to the doctor in a while though.
I'm sorry about your eye. I wonder if they'd have the tech to replace it here.
no subject
And yea, I'm gonna look into it. I'm entirely capable of everything with just one eye, but the depth perception being fucked really sucks ass.
no subject
Well, if you ever need a hand with shooting, I'd be willing to go to the gun range with you.
no subject
Wouldn't need a hand with shooting, but won't say no to embarrassing you at a shooting range.
