That'd only get in the way, I've never really been one to use guns. I make my own weapons usually.

[He doesn't elaborate, spears and blades didn't tend to impress people used to long range weapons like guns, but he is curious about the line of questioning.]

I have plenty of my own guns, they only had to give me some extra ammo.

[And some parts of her guns- apparently being on the run for months, sleeping behind trees or in rundown buildings, barely staying alive really fucks with your guns.]

I can transmute just about anything, comes in handy on the repairs job.

Can you transmute living things?

It's not impossible, but if you're talking about wounds and stuff I leave that up to the healers.

[After a few years he's become more straight forward about transmutation and biology, but it still wasn't anything he was comfortable doing regardless of what he'd learned about alkahestry before coming here. In his mind it still shouldn't be messed with, even if it wasn't creating chimeras or bringing back the dead.]

I mean like. Could you have an attack animal that you take with you, keep it put somewhere safe until you need it. Throw an attack tiger at someone's face, ya know?

[Listen, she's suddenly very interested in attack tigers being thrown from seemingly nowhere.]

You could just get a pokemon for that,
they store in balls until you need them.

They're pretty easy to catch with the right bait. I'm no expert but there's a guy here that offers classes on them so I guess he is one.

Once you have that I don't think you need much more. We have a few on our floor, they seem to be getting along okay.

Yeah, they're pretty handy companion animals.

One of mine's a giant snake, so that one stays outside usually.

Legal adult's little more complicated than that where I come from.

When you factor in the age of "legal adult" is different on every world I've been on including this one, the fact that I went from being maybe 17 for four years without aging and the fact that I enlisted in the military at 12 it's all pretty complicated.
