[The blue-haired teen on the screen has one headphone settled on an ear, one free, and it fiddling with a music player hanging from his neck. He's also still wearing his uniform from Gekkoukan. After a moment, he let's it drop and focuses on his new phone.

This is weird, he's used to having a flip phone.]

I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Makoto Yuuki, I'm a student- was a student, at Gekkoukan High. I'm starting at the university here soon, once I'm a little better settled. I was leading a group called S.E.E.S.

[He's not good at this. Even Ms. Toriumi didn't force him to introduce himself in school.]

I know how to fight, if anyone needs someone to help with that? I'm mostly used to swords though, any kind. I was involved in kendo at my last school. Fashion club too, music club, student council. [What is free time?]

Welcome to the city Makoto! I'm Marinette and.. ahah, that sounds like you were really busy back home. [ She.. can totally relate. ]

What did you do in the fashion club? Did you all make outfits or was it a different kind of club? [ Modeling, or maybe they sat around discussing the types of fashion through the years or something. ]

I'm a designer -- er, sort of in training -- so I'm always curious about other people interested in fashion, and different styles.

[She has no idea just how bust he kept himself. No college would have ever denied him.]

I mostly joined for my friend, Bebe. We made clothes though, I was helping him make a kimono so he could try to convince his uncle that his trip to Japan was worthwhile. It came out pretty well, he won a contest for his design back in France.

Wow, that's awesome for your friend! Kimonos can be a little tricky to get right. [ She pauses, surprised. ] Oh - wait, so you're from an alternate Earth too?

[ She knows by now not to assume just because someone's from AN Earth, it didn't mean it was from HER Earth, alas. Which is a shame. ]

Bebe was- is, an amazing person. He can do anything he sets his mind to, I think. [These connections he still holds, it makes him smile.] Ah, I am. I mean, I suppose I am? I'm from Earth, at least. Japan.

I have family near there - Well maybe a little further than near, but.. yeah, I have an Uncle in China. I'm from France myself though - Paris specifically. It's nice to hear someone else knows it. Have you ever been there?

Unfortunately, no. I've never had the chance to leave Japan. Well, except now. And if I ever get back, I'm not sure I'll ever have the chance. You'll have to tell me about it.

I'd love to tell you all about it sometime! [ She chuckles. ] Though if I told you here I might spend hours just talking about my home.

[Makoto chuckles himself.] I don't mind. I haven't started university yet, so I have plenty of time to spare. I'll get you a coffee or something, you won't get dehydrated while we talk.

[ She laughs. ] Sounds good to me. Once I get started it's hard to stop talking about that.

[ It's definitely one of her favorite topics to talk about. ]

Sounds like a plan. I could probably use a break at some point. It's been getting pretty busy with holidays and the colder weather coming along.

Oh, I didn't even think about holidays. [It was March when he left home.]

Ahah, don't worry about it, really! Chances are you'd be doing me a favor. I have a habit of losing track of time and getting really focused on my projects, so a distraction would probably be welcome. [ Unless she was under a deadline! ]

[He chuckles softly.] I'm glad to offer my services in distraction?

It's fine, it's fine..! [ Not really, but she's not gonna stop either. ]

Haha, I appreciate it. What's your schedule like though? [ She's happy to work around it! ]

[Huh. She reminds him of someone... oh yeah, him. And weeklong excursions into Tartarus.]

I'm pretty free for a couple weeks, the university was nice about my start date. Gives me time to rest, learn my way around, properly settle.

Perfect! How about ... uh.. [ HRM. ] How about on the weekend? I should be free for a few hours then. [ aaaaaaaand she should probably start apartment hunting at some point too... ack. ]

That sounds perfect. Guess I better find a good coffee shop or something.

Doesn't have to be a coffee place, of course. If you don't like the stuff.

Well, I'm not a -big- coffee drinker, but it does hit the spot sometimes. I'm not sure if the rumor's true or not, but they say coffee'll stunt your growth, and I don't want to be short forever. [ She's... not that short. Also, she still has some growing to do! Probably. ]

We can stop at a place that serves both!

Hm, I don't think it does but I never really drank it when I was younger. I used to work part time at a cafe so they had good coffee usually.

[Charming place for a mall.] Anywhere you prefer, feel free to tell me.

[ She chuckles. ] There's probably no truth to it, but I'm not sure I want to take that chance.
