[The blue-haired teen on the screen has one headphone settled on an ear, one free, and it fiddling with a music player hanging from his neck. He's also still wearing his uniform from Gekkoukan. After a moment, he let's it drop and focuses on his new phone.

This is weird, he's used to having a flip phone.]

I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Makoto Yuuki, I'm a student- was a student, at Gekkoukan High. I'm starting at the university here soon, once I'm a little better settled. I was leading a group called S.E.E.S.

[He's not good at this. Even Ms. Toriumi didn't force him to introduce himself in school.]

I know how to fight, if anyone needs someone to help with that? I'm mostly used to swords though, any kind. I was involved in kendo at my last school. Fashion club too, music club, student council. [What is free time?]

During the Dark Hour, you'll find shadows. They basically prey on anyone conscious during that time, feed on their minds. We're kind of immune to that and we can use our Persona's to fight and kill shadows.

So, kind of defensive in some ways.

[Well, this kid was definitely not from the same place Tieria was.]

You have an interesting username for the network. Any particular reason you picked that?

[fatedcontract]

Eh?

[He glances at his username and-]

Oh. I guess it must seem strange. Persona users have to be comfortable with the idea of dying, since what we do could get us killed. And, I mean, I already died. So it seemed right.

[vedaandme]

[Tieria blinked. Well, thankfully, it wasn't what he thought it was. However, it was a heck of a lot more shocking.]

You have... already died?

[fatedcontract]

Yeah. I mean, I guess they grabbed me as I was dying? But dying was definitely happening.

[And he doesn't mind it.]

[vedaandme]

You seem to be quite okay with that. That is not an attitude I see often.

[Innovades were okay with dying... most of the time. It was still a bad experience, but, depending on their level of usefulness to the Plan, they were often reborn in another body or kept active inside Veda.]

[fatedcontract]

There's not much I can really do about it. And death never really seemed so scary to me.

[And the reason makes it worth having died. He knows his friends are safe at least.]

[vedaandme]

Death is not scary, and should not be feared. But it should still be at least respected, as, for most people, it is final.

[Tieria considered the wording for a moment.]

Were you brought back in some way?

[fatedcontract]

I know, and i do respect it. It's something we need to accept after all. Summoning a Persona, you can't do it otherwise.

[And here Makoto shrugs.]

They said I wasn't quite there but I know it was the end. I gave up what was left of my life, I just had one last promise to keep.

That is a very high sacrifice to make. Might I ask what was so important to you?

[fatedcontract]

The people I care about, the people I'd never meet. If I didn't then everyone would have died, they still could have if I hadn't. Seemed worth it to me.

[vedaandme]

[That sounded very familiar.]

I would likely feel the same way.

[In fact, he had once.]

That was a brave thing to do.

[fatedcontract]

I don't know about that. It was the right thing to do, and I didn't want to see people die for something they didn't even know they were summoning.

[vedaandme]

I understand. But that can still be a difficult decision to make.

Are you here in this place alone?

[fatedcontract]

I suppose, I didn't really think about it.

[A shake of his head, navy locks moving out from in front of his face for a moment.]

I haven't seen anyone I know from home yet, and they haven't answered if they're here. So, I guess I am.

[vedaandme]

[Tieria nodded.]

I have heard that can happen. I have one other person I know here. Apparently, there were others before I arrived.

[Including himself, but... well, he won't get into that.]

[fatedcontract]

I'm sorry you missed them. [Makoto gives him a faint smile.] It's nice not to be alone though, I'm glad you have someone.

[That might be a bit much.]

[vedaandme]

Perhaps someone will arrive from your world as well.

[Tieria wasn't sure if that was a comfort or not, but it seemed like an okay thing to say.]

[fatedcontract]

Maybe, I'll have to keep an eye out. It would be nice to see my friends again.

[Hopefully they'll remember him.]

[vedaandme]

[That gave Tieria exactly the clue he was looking for, and he managed to offer Makoto a small smile in response.]
