[Ava doesn't smile at the camera. For those that don't know her, she's a young woman with bright red hair and slightly unnatural blue eyes. She's wearing a grey shirt and seems to be sitting in a window seat as she looks at the camera, a pencil tapping idly against a pad of paper leaning against her knees.]
As some of you may or may not know, there are formerly dead reactors and power relays in the Abandoned City that are no longer dead, and there is also now a functional SkyTram line that runs from the city gates out to the waterfall.
So, I'll keep this short and sweet: I'm looking for some people that can help further this. We need to connect the reactors to existing facilities, and expand the SkyTram lines so there is easy transportation. Engineering, construction, experience with electricity and energy grids. I'm looking for anyone who's good. I don't care what your training is, just convince me I need you.
I could also use some people willing to work guard duty or man patrols while these projects are in process. The Perimeter Guard are great, but some volunteers would help ensure we're not taxing them as the project expands.
If you need encouragement, one of the facilities I'd like to see made accessible is a natural hot spring.

I'm very good with keeping other peoples' secrets. Somehow I keep agreeing to give away my own.
[Her voice is a little teasing, but there's no real current implying she's reluctant about it. She tends to be honest with people, as long as they don't rub her the wrong way. And he seems nice.]
I'm the same way. I like being able to choose who knows. So no matter how cool your powers are, I wont tell.
no subject
I think my powers go beyond cool. Though it's probably something you have to really experience to truly appreciate them.
[ If his face lights up a little as he talks about his powers it's because he absolutely loves them and everything that comes along with it. Being the Flash, and Kid Flash before that, had opened up a whole new world for him and he can't imagine a life without it. ]
And you don't have to worry about me saying anything to anyone. I've basically been dealing with stuff like this since I was a kid.

She grins, a little impish at his commentary.] Beyond cool? So is that amazingly cool, or superbly cool? Do you have a preferred adjective? [In the right company, she's more than willing to tease, a bit more playful than normal when she's not trying to pretend to be someone she's not. It had been like that with Sana, back in Brooklyn, though that feels like so long ago, now.]
Always good to know. I've only had powers for the past year or so, but things before that were... well, lets say I got involved in the whole mess pretty early on.
[One might get the sense that it had been a less pleasant experience for her than it had been for Wally.]

Between those two? I think I'd lean towards superbly. But I'll let you pick whatever adjective you think is best after you see what I can do.
[ He doesn't think she'll be disappointed, but maybe she's one of those people who can't be impressed by anything.
His lively expression morphs into something a little more subdued as he catches the drift behind her next words. He knows all too well that not everyone's journey has gone quite as smooth as his has even if he's run into some huge roadblocks along the way. ]
It certainly has a way of finding people whether they want it to or not. I honestly can't imagine my life without everything, but it isn't easy. Most of the people back home don't even know I exist.
[ The emergence of a "New Flash" had definitely garnered some attention, but there's only about a dozen or so people who know who Wally West is. ]

Yeah, not many people knew about me, even fewer that could put my name to it. Probably about five? I'm still pretty quiet about it here, but it's a lot less risky.
[No worry about Hydra, about people that wanted to use her, wanted to put her back in a cage. And that makes the feel of it something that she's slowly getting used to. It feels a little less shameful, a little more like something she can accept. Like Loki had mentioned. She's trying.]
So, you want to show off first?
no subject
Wanting to be known as something more than the Flash thanks to that might have something to do with him being a little more open with his personal identity here. ]
I know what you mean. I've been here a few months already and I've yet to run into that special kind of crazy.
[ There's definitely been a lot to do and it's not like crime doesn't exist here, but it's not quite on the level as things are back home. There's a very small part of him that misses it because it has been a staple of his life since he was thirteen.
His grin is borderline smug when she asks if he wants to go first. ]
If you insist. But if we're gonna do this, we might as well do it right.
[ "Do it right" means using his connection to the Speed Force to summon his Flash suit; the fabric seemingly appearing out of nowhere, beginning at the fingertips of his hands, before quickly sliding up his arms, and then spreading over the rest of his body aside from the areas around his mouth/nose, eyes, and his red hair. ]

Well, fine, if you want to do this properly, I might as well play along.
[Had she been intending to skimp on this? Absolutely. She'd been intending to show off with a little electricity between her fingers, maybe a few spheres of light. Something small. But with his intention to do this for real, she decides she might as well join in. He'd said he wouldn't tell anyone, and he seems decent enough. And she's been trying to be more accepting of it, see if that makes her powers easier to deal with.
For Ava, it's less about a suit. Instead, there's just a smile and a lift of an eyebrow, and then there's the area over her heart that glows blue, roughly in the same place as Wally's lightning bolt. It crackles with electricity as her eyes glow, first at the iris, then spreading. Her fingertips turn blue, crackling with lightning that slowly climbs up her arm, her skin rippling with blue bands of energy.
If Wally's perceptive, he might notice that it's less something that she reaches for, and more something that she stops choking down. She's smiling though- she does enjoy showing off. Just a little.]
There. Fair is fair, right?

It seems we've both been touched by lightning in a way.
[ It becomes clear what he means as he taps deeper into his connection to the Speed Force, and by doing so, his own bluish-white lightning starts to flicker and crackle around him as it feels like the surrounding world is beginning to slow down to him. The lightning bolt emblem on his chest isn't just for show. ]
So, how do you want to do this? [ He awkwardly rubs the back of his head with a hand. ] I could run, but you really wouldn't be able to see anything. Or, maybe I could give you a lift somewhere?
[ Which he would do by carrying her. He did say the best way to appreciate his powers is to experience them. ]
