[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

[ Aoba watches this with a mug in his hand that's slowly starting to list to the side until the liquid just barely, precariously reaches the lip of his mug. ]

...Thunderer...

[ Woah, he really looks different from his Friendr profile. Now the liquid finally dribbles a on him and it snaps him out of it, sets down the mug and wipes off the puddle of coffee. He just realized this guy really fits the whole concept of hero - brawny, tragic background, the king of his people. ]

That ship wasn't named Eluvio, was it? [ This is the only ship he keeps hearing about. ]

[ Hmm. ]

No. Our ship has no name currently.

[ Ah wait, this isn't Thor. But at least it's a relief hearing someone else isn't from that awful place. ]

Are you... one of his citizens? From Asgard, I mean.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki grins. He doesn't show his teeth, but you get the impression it's all fangs. ]

Prince, actually.

[bottombitch]

[ Aoba's eyes widen. He has such an unsettling smile, like he's baring his teeth... but even that isn't nearly so shocking as his claim. ]

Eeeeh?! You're his son?!

[dothelokimotion]

[ . . . ]

Stop fooling around and give your father a kiss, my son.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki's eyes promise murder before they soften, velvet smooth and poisonous green. ]

Not unless you have the sugar, daddy.

[Watch the smug look fall from Thor's face in seconds. He winces and draws back.]

[ Loki could keep going, but that's good enough for now. And Thor seems to be in decent spirits at least. ]

You're very fixated on kissing, brother. I'm starting to worry.

My intentions are pure and I refuse to let you sully them with your debauchery.

[ He stares, suddenly his tone is light and nervous, because... somehow this is even less believable. ]

Is that so? Brothers... [ THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE?! ]

[ His tone is clipped. ]

[ Oh, relatable. That sounds nice. ]

[ Loki takes a moment to shoot Thor a glare off-screen as if to say this is all your fault before turning to the screen. ]

I am helping for the time being.

[ Loki doesn't look thrilled. ]

...I recognize that map of Earth, is this where you're headed?

Are... Are you alright? [Did this guy just have a stroke? No. Okay.]

No. I don't think it has a name, it's just a really big ship. Why would it be called Eluvio?

[ There he is! ]

N-no, I'm fine! I was just surprised. [ And like hell he's explaining the real reason why, thats embarrassing. ]

Um, I keep hearing bad things about that ship, I was worried.

Surprised because I look different? [His voice verges on offended, but he's messing with Aoba.]

[ Uwah! Now he fans out his hands before the screen, feeling like he needs to smooth things over! DON'T TEASE HIM, HE'S KIND OF GULLIBLE ]

Listen, I just... I got worried because I know some people who suffered a lot on that ship and I got them confused. I'm glad that's... not the case.

It sounds like you've already gone through enough.

What sort of things have you heard about that ship? And you said there are people here who have been rescued from it?

I don't think people like to talk about it, but I can understand why. [ He remembers watching Ichimatsu shift uncomfortably as he talked about it. ]

Sounds like some people were drugged in a way that changed their behavior, and there were some malicious aliens were allowed on board.

...A lot of people were hurt or killed. [ There were killings was what he heard, but somehow that sounds even uglier - like people were killing each other. Aoba's glad to leave that as the unspoken elephant in the room. ]

Then it's definitely not the ship we're on. We commandeered it, so unless it's haunted.. [Mostly haunted by tired, scared people.]

It's interesting that they can bring people in from a ship.

[bottombitch]

Right? [ That's what he thought! ]

I asked your brother if he thought maybe we could see about bringing in refugees from your ship here, but... I guess that's not a good idea, in hindsight.

I had considered the same option, but it's possible Riverview doesn't have the resources to take them all and I couldn't live with myself if we took even one less person.

Don't mind Loki too much. It's been a difficult week for him, and he's not very friendly at the best of times.
