Video; thunderer [Thor 3 Spoilers]

[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

( considering he’s the god of thunder, well-known even in worlds without superheroes—yeah. there’s a moment where he opens his mouth, considers going on a long spiel about the hundreds of norse books he’s picked up since before the avengers really became a thing, before thor showed up with his hammer on earth. but doesn’t. this really isn’t the time for that. )

Oh, uh—on my Earth, there’s a team called the Young Avengers. ( without going into too much detail, explaining the kang the conqueror thing would take forever, as well as the avengers dissembling, the mess that came with that, everything in between—it doesn’t matter too much here anyway. ) I was recruited a couple years ago when it was formed. Secret identities were kind of important back then.

Young Avengers? [That's a novel concept. Loki has probably mentioned it, and yet.]

Yes, I've come to learn we're at a different stage in my world. I've also heard I'm a bit of an asshole in that world, too. So, you know. [He pulls a face.] Sorry about that.

Yeah. When it started it was Iron Lad, Patriot, Hulkling, and me. I went by Asgardian; we had a theme.

( a sheepish grin, but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes. ) Obviously I’m not an Asgardian, but. --I didn’t know you that well personally. We’ve only met a few times, and usually not in uh--situations that allowed for conversation.

You really are a fan, hmm? What inspired the change?

[Thor shrugs.] I've heard he's not big on conversation.

[wiccant]

Asgardian. I was dating Hulkling--our resident Hawkeye figured the media'd have a field day with it.

And my skillset's closer to the Scarlet Witch's than yours.

Hulking? A small hulk? [Thor pauses to wrap his mind around it.]

Mm, can't imagine I would have approved of it in that universe. Do you have the power to manipulate the mind, then?

[wiccant]

He's. . complicated. ( half skrull, half kree, prince of space--there's a lot of explaining he'd have to do to. make sense of it. probably more than he'd need to explain himself, so. ) But he doesn't hulk out or anything.

I could if I wanted to, but I don't. I'm a witch. Reality warper.

Interesting. Is he Banner's son? I find that very difficult to imagine.

I take it you're a friend of Loki's then, too.

[wiccant]

No, he's not related to the Hulk at all. He's an alien?

( one hard topic into another. )

I know the other Loki. Not the one you're with--friends is a strong word.

Is his name Hulkling because he's a big fan of the Hulk, then?

[Thor snorts.]

Has he been a pest?

[wiccant]

He's big, green, and strong. Hulkling seemed like it'd suit.

( it's not like billy's was asgardian because of thor though, so. they were sixteen at the time; sixteen year olds make weird life choices. )

I'm pretty sure there's not a Loki in all of time and space that isn't a pest. It's kind of his thing, isn't it? Still not as bad as the Loki he was before though.

From what I've heard of certain Lokis, he's a drastic improvement. I'm quite fond of him, actually, but don't tell him that.

Yeah, he's--definitely an improvement. ( no world ending events that billy's caught onto, at least. just rude power-stealing attempts. )

I like him okay most days.

[worldsaway]

I suppose most is better than none.

[wiccant]

Just don't tell him I said that.

I'm trying not to boost his ego any more than it already is.

[worldsaway]

You can easily counteract that by telling him he has a big forehead.

I'll leave the forehead insulting to you.

It'd probably be more effective if I found my own thing to pick on. Maybe his ears.

That's the spirit, you'll have him under your thumb in no time.

( i'm conspiring against loki with thor and it's not an end of the world kind of situation what is my life. )

That sounds like a huge responsibility. I'll try not to push it too much.

You seem like the sort of person who understands the power you wield. I trust you'll use it wisely.

( never has he ever heard a statement so far from the truth. but it's not like he's pointing that out to thor. )

Billy, was it? Billy, I have to go now, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of one another.

( which is really weird to say considering thor is an avenger and man they're both here and it's weird to be a little excited to talk to him after--what he just went through? but also thor. )
