Video; thunderer [Thor 3 Spoilers]

[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

You don't expect kindness from your lover? [Thor can't help but sound suspicious.]

Well, he could. I don't know who would willingly agree to it, however.

[dothelokimotion]

It is not fair to him.

[ His tone is blithe, not bitter. ]

And heroes don't follow their lovers.

[worldsaway]

Some do.

[Thor points out.]

Until they get dumped. Mutually. [Just what Loki wants to hear.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ Okay, his expression twitches at that. ]

Some. But I cannot ask Steve to come to another world where he'll be once again surrounded by strangers.

[ And deep down, Loki knows Steve would never want to leave his own world. His team of Avengers, his friends. His new home that he has made. The shield which still both haunts and bolsters his spirit. ]

[worldsaway]

He expected the same of you. It wouldn't have been easier for you, either.

[Thor points out, gently, but he feels like he's hindering more than helping right now so he presses on.]

You haven't.. ah... You didn't dump him, did you?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki shrugs. It would have been easier for him and they all know it. ]

No. I gave him a ring and a promise to return.

[worldsaway]

[Thor offhandedly wonders how Loki will get from one world to another, but he decides Loki probably knows what he's doing.

He wouldn't make a promise like that lightly.]

Does that mean you're engaged? [Thor's brow raises.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki opens and closes his mouth, pursing his lips tightly. ]

No. I wouldn't — [ He wouldn't do that to Steve. ] — it's a promise ring.

Ah. [Thor sounds a little disappointed.]

So he won't be princess of Asgard.

[dothelokimotion]

[ . . .

Yeah that deserves Loki stepping on Thor's toes. Hard. ]

[worldsaway]

[Thor grunts in pain, hopping for a moment before he swats Loki's arm.]

What did you do that for?! [Who knows!!]

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki has the gall to look innocent. ]

I haven't the faintest idea.

Besides, you still hold the title of prettiest princess, Thor.

[worldsaway]

[Thor stands solid instantly, straightening up and pointing a finger at Loki's face.]

I am a Queen, now. [He hisses.] You will treat me as such.

[dothelokimotion]

Oh, my apologies, Queen Thor.

[ Loki bows lowly . . . and changes Thor's outfit into a pink frilly dress ]

[worldsaway]

[Thor glances down at himself then back up at Loki. His expression is flat.]

Does this look like something a queen would wear? It's far too short.

[Thor grabs the hem of the skirt and lifts it over his head, he doesn't care if he's buck naked, he's holding the dress out for Loki.]

I think this is closer to your size.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki holds his palms up, backing away. ]

Oh no, you're not getting me in that.

[worldsaway]

No? That's fine. [Thor drops it on the floor.]

You don't mind if I take a seat, do you? I just love the feel of furniture against my bare skin. [He gives the couch a fond stroke before he slowly moves to sit down.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ With a flick, Thor's clothes return to him while Loki shoots him disgusted looks. ]

You take far too much pleasure in nudity.

[worldsaway]

[That worked exactly as Thor hoped, but he's still going to sit down.]

And you take far too much pleasure in changing my clothing.

[dothelokimotion]

It's not my fault you gave me the perfect lead in.

[ A pause, as Loki changes gears. ]

Do you think if I asked him . . . Steve would come with me?

[worldsaway]

Well, if I know anything about him, it's that he likes a challenge. [A pointed, airy gesture at Loki.]

You know him better than I do, why are you asking me?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki glances at Thor before looking away. ]

No reason, I suppose.

[ Maybe he'll bring it up. Loki had just assumed . . . but perhaps it is better not to make assumptions anymore. That's what led him so deeply astray. ]

[worldsaway]

I'm sure you can come to an arrangement.

[Thor pats Loki's back. It's a little awkward, reminiscent of the way Loki patted his back on Earth.

Talking about their own relationship is hard enough, talking about other relationships is almost impossible.]

So, Earth. [Thor gestures at the map.] Let's talk about our options.
