[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

[ He smiles faintly at that. ]

To be candid, you are a vastly superior older sister.

Hela is your... sister, in your world?

[ How very unlike her own. ]

She was. Though none of us were aware of that fact.

I see. [ How familiar, and yet not. ]

She is not your sister in mine.

[dothelokimotion]

I suspected as much.

[ Otherwise they would have been told. ]

Odin banished here long ago. Asgard had all but forgotten her.

[hevenly]

I do not know of how my world's Hela came to rule in Hel. I know that, until recently, she had presided over it for about as long as anyone can remember.

[ Asgardians are old. Maybe Hela is Loki's child. Maybe she is Leah's future self. Who knows, with the universes constantly being combined and reborn? ]

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki shrugs loosely. Hela invites doubt in him but at the very least, he has kept it at bay. ]

She perished with Asgard.

[hevenly]

[ Angela nods solemnly. ]

Then Hel has a vacancy.

[dothelokimotion]

[ He blinks. ]

Yes . . . I would assume so. Are you considering it?

[hevenly]

Heven, no. One crown is already more than I desire.

[dothelokimotion]

[ He nods. ]

I doubt it is a crown most people desire.

[ I mean. Loki considered it for a hot minute, but he's had his fill of ruling. ]

[hevenly]

Of all the Realms to rule, Helheim is perhaps the least stimulating.

Speaking from experience?

[hevenly]

Simply what I imagine. As soon as I had won the throne, I left for New York. I did not stay long enough to get a sense of what ruling Hel would be like.

Why did you need the throne?

[hevenly]

My beloved was imprisoned.

[ And the dead Angels were made to serve as slaves, but really, that was an afterthought to saving Sera. ]

[ That would do it. ]

Not dead?

[hevenly]

Dead and imprisoned.

[ Semantics. ]

[dothelokimotion]

[ The marvel universe is really, really weird sometimes. ]

Clearly a problem easily dealt with.

Exactly.

[ Overthrow Hela, free the dead Angels, get Sera back. Easy as pie. ]
