Video; thunderer [Thor 3 Spoilers]

[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

I don't, but I want to. That's what friends do.

[He gets himself comfortable on the bed.]

Do you plan on sharing?

[He bounces a little, idly comparing their mattresses (it's the same).]

That's what friends do. [Thor repeats, and he inspects his collection of bottles before he makes a few selections and clambers onto the bed with Tony.

He holds out a bottle to Tony, though a very small part of him feels like he's enabling something he shouldn't.

Just for tonight.]

I met a woman on Sakaar who would have instantly charmed you.

[inebriety]

[Straight from the bottle? Okay then, he'll act like an alcoholic. He pulls off the lid and takes a swig. Chugging whiskey is now the most uncultured thing he's ever done in his life.]

I don't doubt it. I'm very easily charmed by women.

[He's sure there's better reasons for Thor bringing it up, but he is very easy.]

[Thor has long since accepted that glasses are useless when it takes a whole bottle to get you buzzed, alright.]

She drank more than anyone I've ever known, you included. [He gestures the bottle at Tony.]

And she's a valkyrie, so you know she's a bad-ass. [He still sounds awkward, trying to pick up new words.]

[inebriety]

[Tony looks at the bottle which is suddenly half empty.]

I don't drink that much.

[Well that's interesting information. He knew Valkyrie, though he suspects she isn't the same Thor groupie who gained powers. Just from the way Thor talks about her he's guessing she's more likely to be one of the characters from legend.]

Are you dropping the pseudo-formal speech?

[Tony looks absolutely delighted at the thought of Thor speaking like a normal person. Loki seems to do the same so he knew he couldn't offer him a large sum of money to get him to drop it, but Thor doing that without prompting is even better.]

It comes and goes. [Bluntly.] I feel like people take me more seriously when I speak casually, it makes me seem cool.

[inebriety]

[Another drink and now Tony is shaking an empty bottle.]

It does and you should keep it up. Back in my world I had to donate a million dollars to charity to make him drop it. He grew up on Earth so I knew he could do it. I wasn't sure with you so I never got round to making an offer.

[This time it happens automatically so it's even better.]
