[When Yu arrived, he barely had a chance to get his bearings before being tossed into whole orientation thing, the job, his living situation and everything that's been going on. He was taken to the address where he was situated in these dire(?) circumstances. He didn't mind communal living. In fact- he wished he could've lived with his friends like this back in Inaba. All in one place, chatting whole day and night.

But... he thought it was slightly unbecoming of him to just completely pass out after drinking his tea and having small chat with Ed. So, today, he had different agenda in mind.
Yu remembered seeing a convenience store on his way here, relatively close, so he took a small shopping trip. Mooching off of his floormates is not nice. And then he spent the morning cooking. Or rather, baking.

While the treats are in the oven, he turned on the video feed.]

So... I've never done anything like this before. It's all new for me. [A pause.] I want to apologize to the people that live on 6th floor, I didn't properly greet them when I arrived, [he scratched back of his head.] I think I was a bit too overwhelmed after the arrival so I was out of it until this morning. So yeah, hi! I'm Yu Narukami. I'm very pleased to meet you all!

[Later, there is a text and picture update on what he was preparing]

[ The bed next to Yu's had had the same lump of a man face down in the bed the whole while he was there. The man only stumbling around now and then for drinks or other needs, but in general he was just dead to the world or having coughing fits. It was the smell of cookies that finally drew him from his slumber. For once in the first time in days he pulled on his pajamas, which were black and red, and made his way into the kitchen with his blanket wrapped around his shoulders. His dark hair curly and wet from sweat. He was a big guy, standing just over six even and built like an athlete. Smelling cookies he assumed Lola had come to visit. ]

Lola? [ He asked, expecting the young girl, his voice squeaky from his illness.]

[Yu was putting away the dishes he washed. Cooking always makes a mess in the kitchen, and if he's going to share space with around ten other people, he should clean up after himself.

Also, he has nothing else to do. He was already tired of mulling everything over, getting through tons of scenarios and eventually getting a headache. If it comes to it, he still has his Izanagi, which makes him feel a bit safer.

The rustling from the other room caught his attention. Yu saw someone stay in bed, so he attempted to be as quiet as possible while going around with his cooking but it seems that he wasn't as silent as he hoped. He greeted the guy with a smile-]

Ah, hello. It's not Lola, [he chuckles.]

[ The kitchen had a bit of a strange order to some things being put in odd places, since Jason had taken over a lot of the cooking when the floor had been practically just him and the Elrics. It had been more than a few weeks since he had tried to cook though... though the fridge was well stocked with beer and energy drinks.

Jason stared at Yu from under his blanket cloak, having it draped around himself as if it would protect him from the world.]

New comer, or friend of the Elric's?

[ he inquired in his squeaky tone moving towards the sink to get a glass of water.]

[Yu himself went to buy groceries in the morning, not wanting to infringe on other people's food. He's new to this place, after all, he can't let others pull his weight.

Stepping away from the sink to let the man get water, he leans against one of the dining chairs.]

A newcomer. Yu Narukami. Pleased to meet you.

[...the man looks really sick. It's no wonder he didn't get up until now.]

[ He nodded as he filled the glass and shifted to drink the whole thing down in one go before refilling it and turning to lean on the sink holding the cup. Looking Yu over a moment.]

Todd, Jason Todd. [ He nodded back just a bit.] I'd offer to shake, but I've already given one person the flu this week. Basic rundown, I work nights and early mornings, but I sleep like the dead when I sleep so don't worry about noise. Never try to wake me up, ever. Aside from that, we'll be good.

[ He spoke as he tried to make his eyes focus.]

That's quite alright. Would you like some tea? I wouldn't mind preparing some. [For both of them in fact. And it could help out with that flu a bit. And if not, it might warm the guy up.]

Night shifts? Where do you work? It sounds tough. [He's yet to hear from the Orientation center about his own job. They made him an offer and he accepted it. He wonders if he'll actually be able to help someone.]

Do not worry, I will probably be out during the day.

Actaully... yeah. Tea would be great.

[ he carried his water to the table to take a seat and rest his head in his hands.]

I'm one of the perimeter guards, I take the crazy hours by choice. I'm a night owl by nature. I actually enjoy my work when I have things to do. [ he shrugged laying his head down then.]

It was more of a don't worry about me, thing. It's your home now to.

[Yu smiles and heads for the kitchen cabinet, taking the kettle and tea. When he puts the water to boil, he turns to Todd.]

I see. I was assigned to the Perimeter Guard as well, as Orientation support. [He rubs back of his neck. There was a brief moment where he wondered why wasn't he on the main lines, considering that his fighting experience is extensive. Perhaps the years...]

Well, you look like you could collapse any second. Maybe you should go back to bed, I can bring you the tea.
