So everyone knows about alternate universes now. But have they seen any strange ones?

And I mean, strange like. Is your evil alternate twin running around here? Or a good looking one (but with a beard?)

I'm just kind of curious as to what people know about alternate universes and what they've noticed about them.

Isn't everyone afraid of them? Evil twins are no joke.

How are they similar to yours?

Well yes, they would be scary... but if you asked around some might claim I'm the evil twin.

Some people are fairytales in my reality, or they're from what would be my world's history. And.. I think I might be the same, to some people. Most people here come from... the year 2000, I think.
I'm from the year 1853.

Why?

[ That seems like a bold claim. ]

So all the tech stuff must seem really strange. What kind of fairytales though? Like the Tooth Fairy?

I have very strong magic that is often misunderstood.

Vikings, and elves. I've met one person who had the head of a cat, and a few people have shown me creatures I've never seen before. It's all rather exciting, honestly.

Yeah. Having powers can do that. It's like a tightrope. You always have to be careful.

Elves! I have an elf on my floor and he knows a dragon. It's so cool!

I'm careful, and I'm good at what I do... but some people just don't understand how safe my magic is. They fear it because they don't understand it.

Is his name Taako? He has very good fashion sense, too. And he knows how to cook.

I can get that.

[ Though he's probably not "safe". ]

Taako's cooking is a godsend. I've been getting half my meals from him, honestly.

And- if you're curious about other realities, would you like a pet from a different reality?

I'd love that, but are we allowed to? And I should probably ask the people on my floor if they're okay with it.

As I understand they're happy enough staying in a small container as long as you take them out for walks. Here.

[She switches to video, and holds up a pokeball.] Professor Sycamore can explain them better, but they're for holding certain creatures you'll find out and around the city and the forest. They came from his reality.

[And at this point she drops the ball onto the floor, and out comes her ghost companion. He's around the size of a cat and seems very interested in checking around the area for food.] This is Sprig. He's one of those creatures, but they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - one of my friends has a pony with a mane and tail made of fire.

[ Hold on . . . Jon's expression shifts into pure delight. ]

You have a pokemon?!

[Oh, so he's heard of them. She nods readily.]

You can come play with him if you like - he usually stays on floor one with me, and he'll follow you around if you have food.

[Which is exactly why Sprig isn't allowed out of his ball during the festival.]

No way! Really? Which floor? Do I bring snacks?

First floor, bed 4. Bring snacks if you like, he loves trying new things. [Although he's very picky about what things he eats twice.] Maybe later I can convince Ivar to let you meet his ponyta.

[Jon will just have to... ignore the skeleton that's just kind of chilling in her bed, when he comes to visit.]
