I've been thinking... everyone likes to set new year's resolutions, right? to try something new or learn a new language or something.

the thing I'd like to try to learn is magic. my world doesn't have it, but I know there are people here who do, and I'm wondering if anyone is willing to take on a student? or at least tell me where to look to start learning?

if not, then maybe just share what your new year's resolutions will be.

I wouldn't mind teaching you if you're content with only ever knowing how to shield things. If you wanted to learn cooler magic, you could consider putting in a word with Gramarye? They'd probably be able to give you a more practical match.

yeah, I'd thought about going there but I don't really know the procedure. shielding things is helpful, but I want to learn something... idk, flashier, I guess?

I can ask about, if you like. It may be as simple as posting something on the network there and seeing if anybody bites.

Yeah, that's fair. Support is necessary but it isn't super glamorous.

Could always talk to Taako, or Lup.

we don't have it on my world, only in stories.
when I saw you lot, and realized it wasn't necessarily something someone had to be born with, but it could be something you can learn, I thought...
I don't know, I just want to try.

If you are looking for magic, then illusion magic is not too far a stretch to learn. Or perhaps control of water would be a better fit.
