For curiosity's sake, what is everyone's thoughts on time travel? I suppose it's even possible some people here might have experience with it given we come from so many different worlds.

[ He stops to release a loud yawn, before continuing on. ]

I mean, if you knew something in your past was wrong, would you go back to change it and just deal with whatever the consequences are if you could do it? What if someone told you that by going back to save their son it would save thousands of lives?

[ If one was to get the feeling he has found himself in such situations in the past, then they would be correct. ]

Or, would you simply accept things for how they are and move forward no matter how hard that might be?

You seem to know enough. Even the most innocent of changes can have a monster impact on things in the future. At least that's been the result of the few cases I'm familiar with.

Though some people know how to keep the trickle down effect to a minimum. [ People like Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash. ]

The butterfly effect, or something like that. It's a pretty mainstream theory. I've never seen much time travel but the risk seems too high.

Yeah? How do they do that? It doesn't seem like something you could control.

I'm not really sure of the how. He claims to be some sort of living time paradox. I don't know about that, but the rules don't seem to apply to him the same ways it does everyone else.

[ Thawne going back to kill Barry Allen's mother only had a controlled impact on Barry's life. But Barry going back to prevent Thawne from doing it? Absolute chaos. ]

I guess. I can't claim to understand a lick of it. What's got you thinking about time travel like this?

Just thinking about things back home, I guess.
Remember how I mentioned some weird stuff was going on there when I arrived here?
It involved time manipulation, of sorts.

[ Which he is a little more open to discussing now that he's convinced his being here isn't connected. ]

Oh. That's rough. It's hard to be stuck here while everything else is on pause, basically, wondering what's going to happen.

Tell me about it. I'm not the most patient person anyway, but having to wait five years before I can do anything about it is going to drive me crazy.

If you plan on going home at some point, it might not be five years. That's just the quarantine time for people who want to stay in this universe. When the portal will be set to your home world again, though, they can't know for sure.

Ah, that makes sense. My best friend was here, but he recently found the backdoor or whatever out of this place. Didn't even say goodbye.

[ Of course, he knows Dick would have if he had been given the chance. ]

Though I'm not really sure if knowing we can potentially leave at any moment is a blessing or a curse.

One of my friends left pretty suddenly, too. He let us know, but it was a rushed thing. Go through now or stick around for a while longer kinda deal. It doesn't always leave room for goodbyes.

Both, I guess. Knowing you ain't stuck here forever but knowing leaving probably means packing up quick.

I can't blame the guy. I was busy outside the wall when everything apparently went down.

[ Not to mention Wally has every intention of going home when his opportunity comes up. ]

It also doesn't exactly provide a sense of stability for those that could use it in their life.

Still, I get that it can be rough. Maybe he would have said something if he'd had the time.

I guess it doesn't. I don't know if this is the place to look for stability really.
