I've never seen so many animals in all my life. Where I'm from, there's no wildlife. None. This place is amazing. [ playing the part. be calm, paige. you'll find your way.]  Although, I'm feeling wobbly as a mother Gorgybird.

[ it's the best thing she can think to say, that might attract the attention of anyone in the Resistance. it's not quite the most accurate signal but it's good enough for this situation.]

Does anyone know where I can see or find more?

Aw, that question made me sad.
It's like. You know how it's a bad idea to have a big wild animal living in your home like a pet? Well, they have big open spaces for them at the zoo! They're usually in the zoo because they were rescued and can't survive out in the wild, or, like, something.
Ssso if you wanted to get a close-up look at a big bear or tiger or something without getting hurt, the zoo's the place to go!
(But also there's cute little animals too.)

There sure is! I'm real good friends with a bear who lives there!

You're friends with a bear?

Yeah, this one time my friend Cisco fell into the bear enclosure so I had to jump in and rescue him before this one bear attacked him, but I got her to stand down and we ended up having a laugh and she helped us back out of the enclosure. I go and visit her every so often. Her name's Barbie.

And I have a bear pokemon named Jonathan too! Pokemon are weird. They're like big animals that you CAN keep in your house because they're made of... magic or science or something, I'm not sure which. Maybe both?

What does a pokemon look like? Like bears?

Pokemon look all kinds of ways. I honestly don't know a whole bunch about them, but here's a picture of Jonathan.

[Attached is a photo of one of these little dudes dressed up in a little knitted sweater.]

Jonathan happens to look like a bear but most of them don't. Some look like dogs! Pretty much the only difference between a Pokemon and a regular animal is that you can put a Pokemon in a little ball of holding and let it chill out in there for a few days.

okay so I thought that at first too and I was like, super against it, but apparently it's just a common thing from the universe Pokemon come from? He's actually real chill with it. I think he just sleeps in there. I do let him out of it as often as possible, though. (But then he just sleeps when he's out of the ball, too. He's a sleepy guy.)
... But this only works with Pokemon, not other animals. So don't try putting one of them in there.
