but i'm not lying when i say that hades is my father

raising the dead = summoning the undead
(ie ghosts, zombies, animating skeletons, etc)
for most of those, there's no soul attached to the form
spirits can only be summoned temporarily
before they return to the underworld
because there's nothing to anchor them to the mortal world

restoring life is literally that
restoring the soul to the body in its original form.
