(or animal blood if cheeseburgers are hard to come by)

[ literally. he steps into the nearest shadow and dissolves, reappearing out of another shadow at the river's edge. ]

[ He thinks to make a comment about how his input wasn't requested on the time but he had offered, so it seems fair enough. Sasuke braces one foot against the railing he's sitting on, knee bent in order to push himself up to stand instead... and then take a single step forward, dropping from the tenth floor balcony with an incline to his head to keep wind from whipping at his eyes.

The fall's more than long enough for him to adjust where he'll hit the surface of the water, feet sinking an inch or two into it to absorb the impact before he's straightening fully to literally stand on top of it. A few steps take him to the bank of the river, scouring it for another person--

[ watching the other boy emerge from the water reminds nico starkly of percy jackson, however this boy is not the son of poseidon and nico quickly dismisses the thought. instead, he inclines his head in acknowledgement before leaning back against the closest tree. ]

It's Nico, actually.

"Nico", then.

[ As he approaches, hand resting by habit on the hilt of his chokuto. ] You have a few things to show me, then?

[ a nod and then he kicks off from the tree, drawing his sword from its sheath. it's a wicked looking blade, dark black and giving off a nearly visible aura of fear and death. with his eyes on sasuke ( eyes dark as an oil-slick with a flare of power that seems to flicker like a fire behind a broken mirror ), nico slams the tip of his blade into the ground. the earth around them begins to tremble, and at the place where his sword pierces the earth, a wide crevice forms. ]

To begin with.

[ said as if discussing the weather. ]

[ Knees bend cautiously, instinctively, as soon as Nico brandishes his weapon. He trusts him as much as he can trust someone he's just met that exudes no noticeable specific killing intent towards him but even then he remains wary and ready to move.

The split in the earth is one he regards with a hint of actual visible surprise but not shock, affording it a wide berth as he continues to watch him. ]

I'll take it this is your demonstration and not your lesson.

[ withdrawing the blade and closing his eyes, he focuses on the earth, mending it at the crack he'd created. in just as much time as it had taken for it to form, it disappears and nico shifts his blade from one hand to the other. ]

Essentially. I figured you'd want to know that I'm willing to keep my word.

[ a pause as his dark eyes roam over sasuke, lingering on the blade at his waist. nico jerks his head toward it. it's different from what he's used to seeing ( typically greek and roman weaponry ), but he's sure he can adapt. ]

How good are you with that?
