who are the people who volunteered?

Their names are Laurent and Damen. I don't know them particularly well, but I always find it better to have too much protection than too little. Unless you have some specific objection.

Maybe, but people tend to find it hard to trust a necromancer. I might never make friends if I'm slow to trust as well.
