I'm curious how many people believe in fate here.

If you do, do you believe fates can be changed?

If you don't, what do you believe in?

I see your point. Though, I do believe that it's possible that while someone might have a fate or destiny how they come to it or if they fulfill it is still a matter of their free will. Sometimes, I feel that my opinions and thoughts on it all change.

That is the blessing and curse of free will.

But if something is like your destiny, then no matter how much free will you think you have, you're still heading in the same direction?

What do you mean curse? Free will is amazing.

Do you believe that just because someone has a destiny that they definitely fulfill it? I think it's possible to fail one's destiny.

Sometimes, I think it would be easier to have less choices. [ Which is odd considering he's actually been a slave before and asked to be free but that's not really what he's think of at the moment. ]

Well, it sometimes sucks... but it's something you have a hand in. You played a part, no matter how much the deck is stacked against you, you get some say right?

One could think that but also, there are many ways to view it and believe in it. You could fail a destiny you were meant to succeed in if you do not find the strength in yourself to attain it, I think is my belief. I do often think perhaps that is not correct, though. I question myself and my beliefs too often.

That just sounds like giving yourself more guilt for not succeeding. Which is already enough guilt for, you know, screwing up.
