[ it's late, but the stars are shining and the moon is big enough to reveal that nico is once again in the graveyard, sitting atop a gravestone as he munches some fries. his legs swing back and forth. with his mouth full, he pauses and regards the feed. ]

I've been doing a lot of thinking. Mostly about the future. So we're stuck here for five years, right? How many people are planning on staying after that? If so, why?

I mean... [ another bite of fries and he swallows this time before continuing. ] What do people miss the most about their original homes and is it enough to want to go back? If there was one thing about this place that could make you stay, what would it be?

I dunno. Anyway- Loki, I need to make sure I have Wednesday night off. And Jason, I need some advice. Also, Ed, I have a few questions about your alchemy.

Many mortals can control life and death. Give a mortal a gun, and they can do it. It just depends on the circumstances and the person. As for the magical bit, there are some mortals that can control the Mist or see through it. Which means they can do magic like demigods.

[ a shrug. after seeing rachel and other true-seeing mortals, he's not all too surprised. ]

[jolting]

There's a bit of a difference between firing a gun and bringing a corpse back to life.

[he's struggling between frustration and envy, that there are mortals in other lands who can do incredible things and it's accepted. After some thought, he tries to reason through it]

Perhaps... I am like your Mist-controlling mortals.

[deathkid]

That's true enough.

[ cocking his head, he regards victor for a few seconds. his eyes, dark as they are, look to be assessing victor. then, he closes them for a few seconds, reaching out with his senses to gauge victor's aura. when he opens them again, he nods. ]

That's a good possibility.

[jolting]

[Victor is quiet for a moment as he thinks over this new possibility]

In any case, you can rest assured I have no plans of reviving the dead while I'm here. Not only do I not have the right equipment or materials for it to be successful, but I've already done it to two people and... it would take a lot for me to try it again.

[deathkid]

Hm.

[ nico makes a noise in the back of his throat before shrugging. ]

Well, I do it all the time. So if you ever want to come along, I wouldn't mind.

[jolting]

[just stares, wide-eyed. OF course being the son of Hades, he would have that sort of control. But to use it all the time?]

I admit I'm curious to observe your methods, but... no. I already rose two for selfish reasons. I can't do that again.

[deathkid]

[ used to reactions like that, nico shrugs. ]

Fair enough. I tend to get information from the dead when I can't get it elsewhere. Plus, sometimes it's just nice to have someone to talk to.

[jolting]

I can understand that. There aren't very many people I talk with back in Storybrooke. I imagine if I didn't know what happened to them after they were raised, I would bring up the dead for those reasons, too.

But maybe your power makes it easier on them.

[deathkid]

[ interest piqued. ]

What happens after you raise them?

[jolting]

They... [he gives a sad sort of smile] They aren't much for talking. They act violently. As I mentioned, I had my arm torn off by one of them.

Of course, the other I haven't seen in a long time, so who knows what's happened to him?

[deathkid]

From the way you make it sound, it's as if they're monsters... You can't control them?

[jolting]

[he can't help but smile, even if there is no cheer in the look] Well, I am Doctor Frankenstein. As for "controlling" them, I don't think they had complete control of themselves.

[deathkid]

Wait- Dr. Frakenstein as in... Frakenstein's monster? [ this is a little mindblowing. ] I, uh, read that book. Your book.

[jolting]

Most people have, or have seen one of the movies. Boris Karloff is a favorite of mine, even if he doesn't look that much like my... monster.

[deathkid]

[ shaking his head a little. ]

I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, between alchemists and demigods, and all the other stuff going on here, it's entirely possible that what exists in my world in just a book exists in real life somewhere else.

[jolting]

Basically everyone in Storybrooke is like that.

[deathkid]

Di immortales... This place gets wilder every day.

[jolting]

[he chuckles] I've always been more willing to look for the impossible and the unusual, and years of Storybrooke has only made that stronger.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing what this world has to offer.
