video @L.Mills
[The video turns on to show a little girl wearing a jean jacket with some store bought brownies on a plate. She looks a little nervous, but it fades when she smiles at the camera.]
So...I was told there were other gods and demigods here. And if none of you are busy, I'd really like to talk to you? Cause...I only know of gods from history books and stories, but it would be nice to know what actually happened and what was really embellished--cause author's tend to do that.
[And then she remembers the brownies.]
I've got brownies too! So...your time's not wasted or anything.
[Hopefully Grandma Emma won't be upset about this...her granddaughter basically asking to talk to strangers...
But really, what's the harm?
...And hopefully the gods and demigods like chocolate.]

Really?! That's so cool. I think there are spells that help glamour one object to look like another, but Regina would know more about that stuff than me.
video
It's cool until the Mist makes it look like I'm fighting a little old lady instead of a harpy. A lot of demigods get in trouble that way.
video
Time to focus on the 'Mist' though.]
Okay, yeah, that would look pretty bad. Why would the Mist make a harpy look like an old lady? Don't tell me the 'old lady' had a walker too! That makes it look way worse.
video
[ a nod. ]
Sometimes! And the Mist works the way it does because a lot of mortals can't handle the idea that the myths and gods are real.
video
[Just ignore how she doesn't comment on the curse breaking soon.]
Ohhh, that must've looked so bad to a lot of people--especially if they were filming it on their phones. I mean...couldn't the Mist have made a Harpy look like some wild...beast or something? That way you wouldn't get in trouble.
video
[ he doesn't look too shocked by this, but he's still a little surprised. he figures that if the gods can exist, it's not too much of a stretch for fairy tale figures to exist too. albeit in a different world. ]
The way the Mist works is that people see what they want to see. That's just how it is.
video
Yes? I thought I told you my mom is Cinderella. You can believe that but not Snow White? [Weird...] Fairy tales are real, that's what I've said from the beginning.
...well that sucks. You can't be a hero if people think you're harming little old ladies with walkers, or kicking puppies--!!
The Mist doesn't make people see you kicking puppies or kittens, right?
video
Not really. Not unless the mortal really wants to see that. But for the most part, no.
Re: video
Good, cause that would really suck.
video
Long week. I'll be fine, though.
Re: video
You can have a brownie if you like.

[ literally, as he steps into a shadow in his room at marco's mansion and arrives in the hallway outside lucy's door. ]
[action]
That is still so cool. But, here you go. [Offers the brownies.]
[action]
'Fanks. These aren't bad.

For now, he gets a hug.]
Welcome. I couldn't bake actual brownies, so I went to the store instead.

You're a good kid, Lucy. But don't ever fall in love. It's the worst.
no subject
I'm 8, I'm not supposed to fall in love except with cute animals or toys.
[She says matter-of-factly, looking up at Nico hoping she got him to crack a smile or laugh.]
no subject
Keep it that way. Trust me, it's a lot easier.

I'll try, can't promise what will happen when I turn 10, or 13.
[She tilts her head to the side a little.]
If you want to talk about it...I can listen and hug you. Or...we can wait together to see if any other Gods decide to answer.
[They can't really wait in her house because she would need Emma's permission to let him come inside (trying to be respectful and polite), but they can wait in the hallway!]
Or...we could talk about other things.

[ he remembers falling in love at age ten and having his heart broken soon after. he doesn't speak to it though, not wanting to make her as jaded as he is. ]
This is fine. I gotta head to work soon anyway.

[Her main job, as she's been told so many times by her mom, was to be a kid, and get good grades in school. That was it.
Her smile wanes a little hearing his has to go to work. It should be expected, but at least they were able to spend time together.]
Well, if you ever want another brownie, let me know. I can set more aside for you.
