back home, one of the main things I used to do was train people to control their abilities - i've spent quite a number of years teaching myself control through various techniques, as it's pretty essential for me to keep things in check.

my home was in perpetual twilight. i didn't see full sunlight until i was in my twenties.

I come from a desert. It was practically sun-drenched all the time. We often had to ration water, it was so dry.

we were a very poor mining colony. we had rations too.

Yes. Not manual labor exactly. I flew a mining ship.

I was helping my mother and father.

I guess so. But I'm glad you're out now, still.

Thank you. But I'm okay, so is my sister. [ Minus the fact that Paige is dead back home but... yeah. And her parents are likely dead as well.] And I'm fighting to help people who aren't.
