[ On camera, Eames can be seen sitting, holding a dark brown puppy that looks an awful lot like a pitbull. The puppy occasionally leans forward to bump her nose against the camera lens. ]

Say what you'd like about poor impulse control as I know some of you will, but I was sober when this happened.

[ He shrugs and the puppy yips, annoyed about being moved when he does it. ]

I do still, regrettably, need some help in terms of a name; I never have been good with giving them.

[ Some details are pressing: how people act, how they move, who they know. This is a set of details beyond even his specialties. And sure enough, attached to the video is a rudimentary poll with--true to his accounting--a bizarre set of names. ]

[ She’s joking. Mostly. Although if the puppy ever does require a flower crown you know who will volunteer. Clary is also making silly faces at the puppy like it’s a baby. ]

Do I really need to pick one of those names?

I did mention I was rubbish at it.

[ What he's not telling is that two of them are there to secretly needle a certain someone and the other is very uncreatively "inspired" by a brand of whiskey. All-in-all, terrible names. ]

And I'll try my best not to be offended at this usurpation. You have a better idea?

They are not. Cavall is popular in...medieval acting circles, so fine, I'll grant that. Paddy, however, is a perfectly respectable whiskey.

I have both, but I'm certain she [ as he lifts the puppy for emphasis ] would argue otherwise.
