I believe so. I can't say I know the science behind it all either, but I know the people I've talked to wouldn't tell such outrageous lies. I'm an alchemist, not a physicist.

Did they suggest a job for you...? I know we have to build this place up and earn our keep, so--

That was my plan. [Well, for now.]

I went ahead and enlisted into the Perimeter Guard. I'm a Colonel in the Amestrian military, so it felt like the most natural option. Did you manage to get a job yourself?

I'm in Search and Rescue. I have a special talent that would make me well suited for the job. I suppose we'll be seeing each other on the field?

[Tear seemed a little on the young side to be joining such a task force, but he had no room to talk. He had gotten Edward to enlist as a State Alchemist when he was only twelve.]

I hope so! I'm not expecting any commanding positions in the near future, but at the very least we should see each other around headquarters.
