[A bright, blinding light fills the sky. After a moment, the outline of six big wings can be seen against the horizon before the owner of said wings...falls. She hits the ground, leaving an obvious dent in the pavement.]

Returned...? [Her voice is remarkably unfazed.] Setsuna...is dead? [That must be the case. Otherwise, why would she be...here?] The cycle has been broken. I am myself again.

[She sits up and looks at the sky, her expression conflicted. She touches her abdomen, closing her eyes.]

He is with me.

[Brushing off the rubble, she stands up and extends her wings to their full extent - and, then, as soon as they are fully visible, they begin to fade.]

Quarantine, I am the Organic Angel Alexiel and I require information. Tell me everything you know about the moon.

[Her gaze falls on the recording device and she picks it up, blowing the dust off of the screen.]

Do not fear me. I have no desire to harm you. [She cares deeply for humanity in actuality.] How can I help?

[Alec stares at the feed, not sure if he should turn it off and pretend he never saw it or speak. Eventually, he swallows hard and finds his voice.]

Are you really an Angel or is that a title.

I am an angel. [One of the top tier angels, actually, just beneath Seraphita, her "mother".] Have you encountered my kind before?

[For a moment, Alex is too shocked to do anything but leave it on video, so the brunette's eyes are wide and she's staring.]

You're actually an angel.

I am. [It's an understandable reaction and Alexiel meets the shock with a small smile.] I'm not a threat to you.

[ That was... quite an entrance. ]

... why would we have reason to fear you?

My kind has not always been forgiving to humanity. Furthermore, power itself can be frightening.

[ The text message that Alexiel receives comes several hours after the live video of her arrival is posted. It lacks a proper greeting or an image attached to it, or a name, other that of the user's handle. ]

Most people associate angels with positive things. Miracles, blessings. That sort of thing. But if you want them not to fear you, words alone won't get you very far. You're better off just showing them you're not something to be afraid of.

[A curious message! Alexiel cocks her head, reading it twice before she ventures an answer.]

After everything I've seen, that is difficult to believe. Humans might be the most forgiving of all the races.

[Or the most forgetful.]

But you make a fair point. They will have evidence to back my words.

Specifically, I mean most humans have probably never interacted with a real angel. They only have what amounts to fairy tales and pop culture to inform them; most people probably haven't even bothered to read the original source material.

Odds are the people who would know the truth you speak of aren't even here.

Do you differ from "most humans"? You sound like you stand in a position to judge them. [She is wary because, well, her track record with other angels isn't good.] Catch a fallen star. Which star would you be?

I'm done running from the truth.

[ It's some time before the next response comes. In that time, he debates his options: come clean, and find out whether she wants to see him after everything that's happened, or lie and find out more.

Of greater concern than her reaction, though, would be that of the general populace if they know his real name. Ultimately, he decides, it is better for him to continue the ruse and reveal his hand at a more opportune time. ]

It doesn't really matter which one, does it? "A rose by any other name," and all. Still good for making wishes on. If you're really interested, though, we can arrange a meeting. I'm not afraid of any angel.

[Evasive. They are good at hiding themselves, but that is hardly helpful in pinpointing their identity. Angels can lie. Demons can lie. Humans can lie too. But something about the messages interests her.]

Stars and roses. Did you happen to fall into a garden? Thorns are never kind.

I may or may not change your perspective. Meet me outside of the communal housing.

[ He didn't expect her to say yes. On the other hand.... well. He knew it would be inevitable to meet her from the moment he saw her video. And maybe, in spite of telling himself otherwise, and in spite of being unable to come right out and say it, he wanted it that way. He spent so many centuries looking for her... it's ironic he should worry now as to whether or not she would want to see him. ]

Many things are unkind, but flowers and their thorns are merely doing what they were designed to do.

I could meet you sometime. When?

[You have to form your own destiny; decide your own fate. She knows better than to leave pages unturned or to ignore possibilities. She touches his message as if her fingertips can determine more than her eyes can see.]

Soon. Now. [Then, manners come belatedly...] If you are available, star.

[ Poking fun of her is probably not wise for a myriad of reasons. But rarely has he been capable of exhibiting "better judgment" when it comes to her. Certainly not now. ]

Pushy lady, huh? Well, you're pretty enough too; I suppose I could make myself available just for you.

[They know she is an angel, they have seen her wings and still they choose this tactic. Alexiel is more intrigued than ever.]

I will be as pushy as necessary and never apologize for it. If you are silly enough to be fooled by appearances, that isn't my fault.

I am expecting you.

[ He can't help but laugh to himself. Well, he has the privacy for it, he might as well, shouldn't he? ]

Some things never change...

[ He shakes his head. Before typing his response back. ]

I don't believe I asked you to. And I suppose we'll see if you can change my opinion of you when I get there. See you soon.

[There is it again - that hint of familiarity. She makes a soft sound and plants herself right outside of the communal housing building. Her back is to the wall, her wings are hidden - only visible to those who can see auras - and her arms are crossed over her chest. Yet despite her relaxed pose, Alexiel feels her heart beating harder than usual. Even in battle, she cannot remember feeling this way.

Someone she should know is near. Someone she should remember.]

Who is it, Rosiel? [The question is posed to herself...and...not herself. But her brother has no answers for her and she sighs.] Just rest. We're safe.

[ It's because he knows she's safe--and that she can handle herself besides--that Lucifer takes his time before going down. Enough time, actually, to shower and change into some plain clothes gifted as a part of the "newcomers' welcoming package. His hair is still damp but at least toweled dry and combed out before he starts making the trek down.

It's hard to say how he feels in those moments as he moves down the stairs. With each step he sheds a little more of "Sakuya's" person, resettling into his own mentality. Nervous would be inaccurate, if only because it is too shard and clearly defined a word. But neither is he entirely settled: he did not lie, he does not fear her and never has, but she is a force that must be respected, and last they met she was intent on destroying him in spite of his many years of loyal service.

He arrives in time to hear her talking--to herself? No, to Rosiel, it would seem--about being safe and resting. ]

I would not say resting is advisable.

[ He descends the last few steps with a slow, purposeful grace, face an expressionless mask. ]

It seems they have every intention of putting us all to work here, so you had best prepare yourself for whatever they have in mind.

[She is dressed in familiar attire, but, for now, she is without a tangible weapon. Of course the Organic Angel doesn't need a weapon beyond her astral powers - and she is confident in her ability to out maneuver her opponent too.

Not that she is expecting a battle. But just in case...

The sound of his voice stills her and she holds her breath. Cocking her head, she confirms his identity, watching him descend towards her.]

It is for him. [Her hand hovers over her abdomen before falling back to her side.] Are you still determined to haunt my steps? I suppose it is a less dangerous hobby than it used to be.

How powerful are you, then?

[ Enough to be a threat? She wonders. But they already said they had no reason to fear, so... ]

Forgive me if that was invasive.

I've encountered an angel before, but He wasn't like you. Or the form he chose when we saw him wasn't the same.

It's okay. I didn't think you were. It's just... We've had a lot of exposure to demons in my world, but never an angel.

Most angels have two wings. Each wing signifies the amount of astral power we possess. I have six. [Meaning she can control all the elements and cause devastating destruction.]

I do not find it invasive at all.

I am familiar with demons. Some of them do not deserve the name.
