[ Nikola's been here awhile, mostly keeping his head down. And if he occasionally uses the time and resources his new position provides for his own projects, well, what did they expect? After his unhiring from SCIU, he's a little more careful. Can't make the natives too unhappy. They might still be useful.

The man in the video is standing, far enough away from the lens to show he's wearing a suit and has a glass of wine in one hand. His other hand rests at his waist, the open wine bottle within easy reach.

He can't actually get drunk, but he does enjoy trying. ]

Nice place. It looks like I'll be staying a while.

[ He's so obviously unimpressed with this situation. But it isn't all miserable. He's seen some interesting technology laying around. ]

[ Moving closer now, he flashes a smile that somehow manages to be charming and arrogant all at once. ]

And admittedly I have a certain soft spot for proclaimed "mad scientists".

[ His expression darkens slightly at his use of 'mad scientists.' He's never liked being called mad. ]

You'd be surprised how little some people know.

I really wouldn't. I've been the subject of misconceptions for a long time.

The same has been said about me. Genius mistaken for madness because they're too blind to see the truth. It's insulting.

[ There's a pause as he clears his throat. ] About that.

I haven't aged a day in, oh, a hundred years at least.

...okay. And how does that work, exactly?

[Honestly, Tony's heard weirder. Frequently. Though he's pretty sure someone would have noticed if Tesla was still around.]

Oh, you mean because I died?

[ Because that's the issue here. ]

[ Yes. Yes, he did fake his death and disappear. ]

I was thinking more about the not having aged part, but sure, let's go with that.

[Just faking his death sounds a little too normal. People who are not geniuses do that all the time.]

Now, faking my death, that was easy. And people still think it was part of some government conspiracy. They were following me, of course. They were threatened by my ideas.

[Tony might be taking conspiracy bit with a grain of salt, though honestly it wouldn't surprise him much.]

Behind her is a mess of mechanical parts but otherwise its unclear where she is or what she's doing.]

The Nikola Tesla? Like the Serbian-American Inventor? Fan of AC current.
