Astrology’s a funny thing. Every world, somewhere back in its history, has some kind of lore about the stars, about how they function as auguries, or how they determine individual fates. You’d think that an intergalactic civilization would put paid to that sort of thing—but it persists on each world, and not only that, but you can triangulate some interesting correspondences amongst different planetary traditions if you know your interstellar navigation well enough.

Indulge an eccentric, won’t you—if you have such traditions where you come from, I’d like to hear about them. And if you’ve heard anything about astrology amongst the locals, tell me more.

Where I'm from, there are a lot of legends and methods in which people read the stars. My favorite are the constellations. They're typically animals, mythological people or gods, mythological creatures but they all have stories about how they were placed in the stars.

It's mostly not true but they're very cool stories and some people will say that people have different traits depending on what star you were born under.

Also not really true but very interesting.
