If I could have a moment of everyone's time.

I learned not too long ago that there was a man calling himself Frankenstein here. I was wondering if anyone recalled him, and if so, could you tell me everything you remember about him? I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Nice to meet you, Mr. Victor.

[ because al is always polite. but then he pauses. ed said that? it's not entirely... wrong per se. but most people who attempt human transmutation either die first or are horribly mutilated. much like he and ed had been. not that you can tell now that al's regained his body, but he still looks 13 despite being 18. ]

It's not common at all because it's such a taboo.
One of the first rules of alchemy is to never preform human transmutation.
Most alchemists aren't even capable of doing it and living,
much less capable of dealing with the repercussions.
There are no recorded cases of human transmutation,
that is bringing back the dead,
having been successful.

[ mostly because nobody knows that he and ed had successfully brought each other back to life. it's not something they talk about with strangers. ]

Dr. Frankenstein, then.

I suppose I could tell you.
Any type of transmutation requires a price
Whether you're simply transmuting some carbon and water into a tree
or trying to do human transmutation.
Alchemy relies on the principal of Equivalent Exchange.
When Brother and I were young, we misunderstood a lot about alchemy.
We tried human transmutation and failed.
As a result, Brother lost his leg and I lost my body.
He saved my soul by sacrificing his arm to bind my soul
to an empty suit of armor.

It sounds like that was the price you paid.

Did he disappear or...?
