To anyone who knew and was friends with Miss Ava Orlova, I regret to have you inform you all that she has returned back through the portal. While we had only begun to build a relationship, she was the closest person to having one of my daughters back, and I will miss her.

It certainly does, and she wasn't even a blood relative of mine. I certainly would value a strong cup of tea at this stage.

Family isn't always blood. My fathers butler is as much family to me as anyone else.

From my experience, high society often leaves their hired help to raise their children for them.

[Finally, a good source of tea, is it?] Tea is far superior to coffee. Few other drinks have wonderful subtleties in flavour like a good tea.

Mm, my parents kept a part of my life but Gramp was always there. Especially when I was sick.

[He couldn't just accept what they had to offer already.] How rare, I'm in complete agreement. I take pride in only using the best quality leaves in our teas.

Oh, were you sick often, or was it normal childhood bumps in the road?

[He smiles in appreciation to finally meet someone who also seems to enjoy tea and its superior flavours over coffee.]

Is that so? You must have a niche market.

Often enough. Thankfully I'm much stronger now.

[What kind of Englishman would he be otherwise?]

Perhaps a bit. I've certainly cornered what market there is, ensuring I have the best quality available compared to competitors.

That is definitely something to be thankful for, and I'm pleased for you. Life is too short to be bound to a house or bed.

[So true, so true. All the British were excellent about their teas.]

Knowing that, you'll definitely have my business. I've been trying many places and they are marginal at best in their quality. Bagged tea is an atrocity.

That is something we can agree one entirely. I loath being stuck in bed. [He's still a little annoyed that Prince Soma trapped him in bed when he was last sick.]

I look forward to seeing you there! [He chuckles softly.] While I agree, they certainly are a bit of a convenience. We don't have them in my time.

What is it that you enjoy doing most now that you're free of it?

Oh, you can bet I will come promptly. [He was looking for a good stock of tea after all.] And what time would that be?

Free of my duty to the queen and frequent illness, I've mostly spent a lot of time reading. Expanding my business to include the cafe as well, make friends.

[That's not hard.] It was November of 1889 when I was drawn here.
