[This had been prompted by questions from others, making offers to help, and from Shiro and Keith talking to each other about said previous conversations.

So Shiro has decided to formally make the post. With Keith in the video as well since it is for both of them. So he had set up the video feed in their living room with Keith next time. If someone tried very hard, they might might see some animal of some sort sleeping on the stairs, only because animals didn't understand this was serious business and needed to be out of the shot. The lions luckily did.]

Hello, Quarantine. For those for those of you who don't know us, I'm Shiro and this is Keith. So we've received some requests from others for help recently so we wanted formally offer. We will be offering personal training sessions for anyone interested. Anything from learning to how to use the weight equipment to weekly training to sparring sessions both for those who have experience and those who don't.

[Keith glanced at Shiro for a second and then added a little at the end.]

We can work with you at the gym or here at the house if you don't want us to beat you up in public.

[He smirked a little, just teasing the audience.]

I have plenty of magical training under my belt, and I hear swords give you callouses.

Well yeah they could with the wrong type of gloves or no gloves at all. Most people I've seen who use a sword wear gloves. But of course its entirely up to you.

Magic training? What kind of magic? Or is that a silly question?

No more silly than "oh, you fight? With what?"

And by that I mean not at all. Offensive, mostly. I've never had a mind for healing.

[ Unless you go with the idea that a Necromancer is just a really really late healer. ]

I can do a bit of close quarters fighting with my staff, but I'd rather not. It's rather expensive.

Yeah I would imagine that's kind of expensive when you have to do that.

Is magic common in your world or is that something only a few people can do?

[tevinteraltus]

Few are born with the talent, though more so in my homeland than in other areas. You see, there's a bit of religious doctrine over which there is some dispute. My countrymen interpret it one way, the rest of the world another.

I see. So your homeland is somehow different than other areas of the world you are from?

[tevinteraltus]

Yes, and we like it that way.

Of course, the rest of the world thinks we're a country of degenerate maleficar who'd sooner slit your throat to power a spell than greet you with tea and sweetcakes.

[ He pauses for a moment. ]

They aren't completely wrong, at least about some of us, but I do hope to change that.

[ And another beat passes before Dorian realizes Shiro may not know what he's talking about. ] Ah. A maleficar is a mage who would use his or her talents against their fellow man to dominate them. In most areas of the world, it is a title punishable by death with no trial...but we've digressed far beyond our original point, haven't we?

[Yep, maleficar goes right over his head so the explanation is helpful. With that information, he nods knowingly]

I know a race where a large number of their kind are like that. Unfortunately they are the ones in charge so it is their rule. But yes, we have gotten off topic. Which is okay too. Sometimes you learn things you weren't expecting when you get off topic.

We were too, once. It isn't something that should be repeated.

[ He did nod, though. ]

That's true. One never knows where one may learn something.

No, it should not be. We are trying to change that in our world.
