[The video begins in the swampier edges of the jungle. Thanks to the flooding, the water is up to Thor's waist and he has mud up his arms and on his face. He holds the camera up at a selfie angle, smiling into it and waving with a muddy hand.]

If anybody happens to know where a big, fat crocodile went, let me know. He's got a scar over his eye and his legs are very stumpy. Embarrassingly stumpy.

[Thor looks about him, holding the camera out so the audience can really appreciate the view of the overflowing river and not the fact that he's wearing a wet singlet.]

And if you've lost anything in the floods, let me know and I'll keep my eye out for-

[He cuts himself off when he catches sight of something making ripples on the water. His arm whips out of camera, snatching the tail of a snake that he brings into view.]

Look at this! Did you know snakes could swim?



[The snake hisses, flicking its tongue at Thor even as it coils around Thor's arm in a lithe, slow crawl. When Thor's hold lessens though, the snake rears back slightly like a mirage before vanishing and revealing a grinning Loki who very casually slides a small dagger into Thor's side.]

Oh dear. Was that me?

[Thor grunts, mostly in surprise but there's pain in it. The little blades sting, and it's a miracle that he can hold onto his camera (lopsidedly) when he drops to his knees and grips his side.]

You've done it now, brother. [Thor growls, with a clenched jaw.] It's all going dark. Dark and cold. I see a light, it's calling me. I'll bleed out before they find me.

[And with his final breath, he musters the strength to try kick Loki into the mud along with him.]

[Steve's face contorts as he tries to wrap his head around this information. Thor loves snakes so much he just picks up random snakes even though Loki repeatedly uses this as a lure to stab him.]

That's... an interesting game you two play.

[That is the only way he can rationalize any of this.]

[ Loki shrugs. ]

Maybe we should have changed it up this time. I can do a far better dying speech. I even have the experience to back it up.

I'd probably have bought it more if that's what you two were going for.

[He sounds almost relieved. He finally might get that joke!!]

But I also mighta run down there to punch him.

Well, mostly me. Thor is not a good actor, as you've noticed.

[ Still. ]

Punch him?

Would you really let me take a swing at your brother?

[dothelokimotion]

Yes. Obviously.

[ He might even record it. ]

Besides, Thor can handle it.

That's not the point I was making. I know he can take it.

Still not worth faking your death for.

[ Loki shrugs as he replies lightly. ]

Perhaps not.

I'd hate to be on bad terms with Thor because I didn't get a joke you were pulling.

[He'd hate to have trying to attack the King of Asgard on his list of mistakes, Loki.]

[ He chuckles. ]

I doubt you'll suffer greatly with Thor over my account. He knows better than that.

Well, if it's just a joke between you two, I dunno if he'd like me misreading things.

[Because that has totally happened before.]

Is there a reason you two were stabbing each other for the camera?

[dothelokimotion]

He seems to have a strange fascination with the creatures in the water and it's been a while since I've stabbed him.

[ Is there any other logic involved? Probably not! ]

Of course. How could I have missed that?

[ It's been a while since they stabbed each other. Like that's a normal thing they do. Asgardians are weird. ]

You don't seem to be the only one.

[ Come to think of it, wasn't Bruce also confused? Mortals, honestly. ]

As long as that's how you show each other affection, I guess I won't intervene.

[He may or may not be teasing Loki.]

Should I be jealous you haven't tried to stab me yet?

[ There's a twinkle in his eyes. ]

Should you be? I thought I fulfill that in other capacities.

[ There's a moment where it seems like Steve loses connection. His face disappears and the screen goes black, with static signifying fumbling on his end. He's back a moment later after a quiet curse and a cough. ]

You make your opinion known. Yes.

[ Loki, please. ]

[dothelokimotion]

[ Okay. Loki barely manages to muffle a laugh. ]

I should hope so. I'd hate to think I'm failing you.

You haven't failed anyone as far as I can tell.

[ Even Thor. They seem to actually enjoy their crazy, violent exchanges. ]

Should I consider it a privilege that you don't want to bleed me out?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki taps his chin thoughtfully. ]

Probably not. I only stab those close to me.

Oh. Then I'll have to keep my guard up when I'm standing next to you.

[ See? He can make jokes too. ]

[dothelokimotion]

[ He smirks. ]

That's very wise of you, Steve.

[livingsymbol]

I guess I wouldn't mind it so much. Since it's you.

[ He chuckles. ]
