[The video begins in the swampier edges of the jungle. Thanks to the flooding, the water is up to Thor's waist and he has mud up his arms and on his face. He holds the camera up at a selfie angle, smiling into it and waving with a muddy hand.]

If anybody happens to know where a big, fat crocodile went, let me know. He's got a scar over his eye and his legs are very stumpy. Embarrassingly stumpy.

[Thor looks about him, holding the camera out so the audience can really appreciate the view of the overflowing river and not the fact that he's wearing a wet singlet.]

And if you've lost anything in the floods, let me know and I'll keep my eye out for-

[He cuts himself off when he catches sight of something making ripples on the water. His arm whips out of camera, snatching the tail of a snake that he brings into view.]

Look at this! Did you know snakes could swim?



[The snake hisses, flicking its tongue at Thor even as it coils around Thor's arm in a lithe, slow crawl. When Thor's hold lessens though, the snake rears back slightly like a mirage before vanishing and revealing a grinning Loki who very casually slides a small dagger into Thor's side.]

Oh dear. Was that me?

[Thor grunts, mostly in surprise but there's pain in it. The little blades sting, and it's a miracle that he can hold onto his camera (lopsidedly) when he drops to his knees and grips his side.]

You've done it now, brother. [Thor growls, with a clenched jaw.] It's all going dark. Dark and cold. I see a light, it's calling me. I'll bleed out before they find me.

[And with his final breath, he musters the strength to try kick Loki into the mud along with him.]

Perhaps you should carry a burner knife on you in future for such occasions.

I usually do, but stabbing Thor is like stabbing a large piece of meat. It takes forever to cut through.

[scholiast]

How charming.

He doesn't object to this?

[dothelokimotion]

Why would he? He's alive, isn't he?

[scholiast]

Have you ever almost killed him out of curiousity?

[dothelokimotion]

[ His expression slips briefly and he considers lying before dismissing it. The truth is well known after all. ]

Once.

[scholiast]

Oh, (Lucretia says, stupidly.) He... he seems fine now?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Dryly. ]

Thor and I have an excellent track record of dying and returning from that fairly intact.

[scholiast]

(#mood)

Say no more. How... does one go about permanently killing a god? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki raises an eyebrow. ]

Hypothetically speaking, what makes you think I would even answer that?

[scholiast]

Because you admire pursuits of knowledge?

[dothelokimotion]

Yes, but I'm not going to support detrimental ones to my health.

[scholiast]

Fair enough.

I'm just curious, I'm not about to kill you.

[dothelokimotion]

I'll give you a measure then.

I've fallen into a black hole of nothingness in the universe and survived. And a chest stab by a poisoned broadsword.

[scholiast]

(How dramatic. Lucretia gives him a polite golf clap.)

Not bad.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki simply shrugs loosely. ]

I suppose. That's all I'll say on the matter.

[scholiast]

Fair enough.

(Back to more important matters. Notably:) Why... was Thor looking for a crocodile?

[dothelokimotion]

Why does Thor do anything?

And how am I supposed to know that?

[scholiast]

I figured if anybody where to know it would be you, but I suppose we're all going to be left in the dark instead.

(That's fine, she doesn't have to know about crocodiles. That's need to know information only, seems like.) Are you helping to find people's effects from the flooding too?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki has any number of reasons. But many are personal and as much as Loki enjoys ridiculing Thor, he would not stray too far. Not anymore, at least. ]

Not particularly. Was there a great deal lost?

[scholiast]

... People have lost their houses, Loki.

[dothelokimotion]

[ He shrugs. Houses, items . . . as much as Loki likes to have things, he doesn't actually care about them. He's survived on less. ]

I heard reports of a few monsters, but nothing serious.

[scholiast]

(It's a struggle not to do an eye roll.)

There's been a substantial amount of flooding; enough to force a lot of people to evacuate. (Herself included, something that she's a little sore about considering how much creative work she'd had to leave behind.) The monsters aren't helping, either.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Look, his empathy may have improved, but he still struggles. ]

I see. Perhaps I will see what I can glean later.

[scholiast]

(Well, that's a start.

Lucretia nods sagely.) Sure. Just that there's a lot of people that need help, and I'm sure whomever stepped up to the plate would be greatly appreciated for doing so.
