[The video begins in the swampier edges of the jungle. Thanks to the flooding, the water is up to Thor's waist and he has mud up his arms and on his face. He holds the camera up at a selfie angle, smiling into it and waving with a muddy hand.]

If anybody happens to know where a big, fat crocodile went, let me know. He's got a scar over his eye and his legs are very stumpy. Embarrassingly stumpy.

[Thor looks about him, holding the camera out so the audience can really appreciate the view of the overflowing river and not the fact that he's wearing a wet singlet.]

And if you've lost anything in the floods, let me know and I'll keep my eye out for-

[He cuts himself off when he catches sight of something making ripples on the water. His arm whips out of camera, snatching the tail of a snake that he brings into view.]

Look at this! Did you know snakes could swim?



[The snake hisses, flicking its tongue at Thor even as it coils around Thor's arm in a lithe, slow crawl. When Thor's hold lessens though, the snake rears back slightly like a mirage before vanishing and revealing a grinning Loki who very casually slides a small dagger into Thor's side.]

Oh dear. Was that me?

[Thor grunts, mostly in surprise but there's pain in it. The little blades sting, and it's a miracle that he can hold onto his camera (lopsidedly) when he drops to his knees and grips his side.]

You've done it now, brother. [Thor growls, with a clenched jaw.] It's all going dark. Dark and cold. I see a light, it's calling me. I'll bleed out before they find me.

[And with his final breath, he musters the strength to try kick Loki into the mud along with him.]

Maybe. People say things they don't necessarily believe or understand fairly often though.

I am not people by any means. And I rather take pride in that.

[Ciel chuckles softly.]

Not often you see someone have such a reaction. It's refreshing.

I should think so. I'd hate to pick up mortal habits.

[sweetlies]

Mortal habits?

[One brow goes up.]

That's a lofty claim. I know, with this place, we shouldn't be skeptical of everything but it is difficult to swallow a claim like that.

[dothelokimotion]

Whether you do or not, it doesn't remove the truth of it.

If you are from Earth, my myths are easily found.

[sweetlies]

I am from Earth but I never much looked into or cared for myths.

[Maybe he should though.]

Any particular reason why not?

[sweetlies]

Knowing anything about myths doesn't do me very much good. Or anyone else that I've met.

[dothelokimotion]

Knowledge, even ones that seem archaic always has room for growth. If you only settle for what's relevant, you miss a bigger picture.

I'm not entirely sure why I'd need to see the bigger picture back in England. Although, I suppose it might help a bit here.

[ And he aims low. ]

You don't think it would have helped unfortunate circumstances?

[Ouch.]

Not at all. What would knowledge about a deity or belief have done in life or death situations?

Knowledge always helps.

I have no doubt you reaped some benefits of it.

[sweetlies]

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything.

[Knowledge of hell and demons didn't exactly help him in contracting one. It just kind of.... happened.]

Well. You are young.

[sweetlies]

The young aren't free of experience though. In a place like this, even a small child can carry the world on their shoulders.

And you think you're that child?

[sweetlies]

No, there's no one single child with experiences like that. It would be conceited to make such a claim.

Then what sort of claim are you making?

[sweetlies]

Claims, none. [Not really.] Only the point that nobody is immune to immense responsibility.

I'm not one to buy into vague over-encompassing statements.
