[This is audio because Shiro really doesn't feel like showing his face. Maybe he's being a bit vain given the circumstances... but oh well]

I have a feeling I am not the only one, but I feel like death warmed over. Whatever this is is really annoying and pretty much nothing helps. I think I've hit the point of exhaustion where I just can't sleep anymore.

[In the background there's the sound of one of the lions, purring very close to the phone]

Okay, yes I see you. Some space please.

If I die from this, can someone put this on my grave - "he died as he lived - being attacked by robots".

[There's a very audible huff and the metallic sound of the lion stalking away]

Come on. I was joking. Ow...

[And that's when it cuts off.

[Black practically huffed at him, but didn't move. His eyes were still locked on Keith. It was probably a little creepy]

I guess you can set them on the coffee table. I'll get them from there.

[It wasn't that far of a reach, but it seemed further than it was at the moment. For some reason though, they seemed to be blocking Keith from handing stuff to Shiro or vice versa. There was no issue with it being set down first and then picked up by the other.

Youta kept his head in Shiro's lap, tail wagging and thumping against the couch as Keith came closer again]

I wonder what's gotten into them. They weren't acting like this before.

I don't know... it's really weird.

[That seemed to be an acceptable compromise, though, and Black allowed Keith to leave the pills on the table with the glass of water, but was quick to nudge him back and away again.]

Alright alright. I'm just trying to help him.

[There was a grumble from both Lions indicating that they felt like the humans just weren't getting the picture. It was an impatient sound.]

Black. Come on. He just wants to help.

[Shiro sighed and reached to pick up the pills and water, taking them as quickly as he could. He hated taking this much medication, but there wasn't much choice at the moment.

After taking it, Shiro settled in a little more to recline more, Youta unmoving]

How's everything else? Sorry I haven't been able to help with it.

No, it's fine.

[Keith sat down in a chair across the way. It was the only place he could where the Lions wouldn't push him away from Shiro.]

I can handle it for a while. You'll be alright soon enough.

[Nope, no lions came over to push him away from there]

I still feel bad that you have to it all. I don't even know what this thing is, but I just can't shake it.

Just get some rest, okay?

[Haha... ha... ha... like any of them rest.]

It'll pass soon enough. It's not like there's a ton to do.

Yeah, I'll try to.

[Not like he had much choice. Even getting up to go to kitchen for water sounded too far right now]

Yeah, I know. But you know how we paladins are. Can't sit still for anything.

[He tries to shift to lay down more, but Youta is determined to snuggle]

At least you're willing to admit it now.

[Not that Keith was all that much different.]

Well, I've already known it, but just never said it.

[Not that Shiro rested much before]

I guess I'm not very good company at the moment.

It's fine.

[Keith just smiled a bit.]

I'll let you get some rest, okay?

[He got up.]

Just let me know if you need something.

Thanks. I'll let you know.

[There's a pause as he tries to get comfortable]

Actually can you take Youta? He's laying on my leg and I want to stretch out a little more.

Yeah, sure.

[Keith got up and jingled the leash to get the dog's attention.]

Wanna go out?

[Which, not surprisingly, also got Red's attention. She usually went with Keith when he took a turn with Youta, so she was definitely on board.]

[Youta looked up at the jingle of the leash, leaping up and dashing over to Keith, Shiro making an "oof" sound as the dog practically launched off his leg. The dog bounced happily in front of Keith for a moment before stopping so he could put the leash on]

I think that's a yes.

[Shiro said as he stretched out on the couch. Black walked over to stand by Shiro. It's okay, Red. Go with them. Black's got things here]

I'd say so.

[Keith crouched down and hooked on the leash.]

Alright, you two. Let's go.

[Red rumbled a little and headed out ahead of Keith and Youta.]

I'll be back in a bit. I think if I take him over to the park and let him run a bit, he'll be tired enough to just sleep once we get back.

Thanks. I'm going to try and get some sleep too.

[Maybe. Or maybe he's going to play with his phone some]

Okay. See you later.

[And off he went... to return later after getting word that Dr Frankenstein had taken Shiro over to the hospital!]
