I have a feeling I am not the only one, but I feel like death warmed over. Whatever this is is really annoying and pretty much nothing helps. I think I've hit the point of exhaustion where I just can't sleep anymore.

[In the background there's the sound of one of the lions, purring very close to the phone]

Okay, yes I see you. Some space please.

If I die from this, can someone put this on my grave - "he died as he lived - being attacked by robots".

[There's a very audible huff and the metallic sound of the lion stalking away]

Come on. I was joking. Ow...

Yeah if we had all five lions, in theory, they could build Voltron. They all have to be in sync in order to do that and since we aren't controlling them, it might be more difficult. Would be interesting if we could.

Oh huh. They couldn't do it by themselves?

Well, not back home. I would think they should be able to here, but whether they would try to or not is up to them. Because we can't tell them what to do.

I see. It's so cool that you get to see like a different side of them though. More than just tools, I guess?

Yeah. I knew they were already more than tools. I learned rather quickly that you can't tell Black what to do even back home. Trying to command the lion doesn't end well. So I don't tell him what to do here. It has to be his choice to do it.

Wow, they really do sound like cats! Which isn't belittling them in the slightest, but that behavior seems to be very cat-like!

Yeah I guess it is. I think it is because the lions want a bond with their paladin like we are in sync, not like someone is in charge over the other. They need us and we need them.

He's usually good though if I ask, he'll do it unless he sees some reason not and usually I'll know why the objection.

Wow, that is really cool and really impressive. I can't even imagine what that's like.

I like it. He's definitely my friend.

[And she'd probably hearing a purring robot lion now that Black was over by Shiro again]

Wow, I didn't know lions could purr! He sounds so content.

I don't think real lions can, but apparently they can. Which they are robots, they can do whatever they want.

Of course. When I'm doing better, I'm sure he'd like a break from sitting with me the whole time so you can meet him.

Awesome! It's a date. Does he like other animals? I have a dog I can bring along.

He does. I actually have a dog named Youta so the dogs could meet too. There's a cat too that he periodically goes checking to make sure she's okay.

Okay. That's totally adorable. I'm a little smitten with him.

[There's definitely a grin her voice.]

Apo likes dogs too. Haven't had him around other things though.

For how big he is, he's really just a softie unless he has to be otherwise.

Jinx usually stays in Keith's room so she probably won't make herself known especially if there is a second dog in the house so I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

That's awesome though. Apo's pretty big but he just kind of wants to be a lapdog and give everyone kisses.

Okay, I get that! One less thing to worry about.

One of those. I have a feeling Youta will get that way. He's already pretty big, but still has a puppy face and large feet compared to his size so he's not done growing yet.

Yeah, she's pretty good about that. She knows Youta already but stays in Keith's room when she wants to be away from him.

Awww he sounds adorable. They both do!

They are. I'm lucky to have them. Youta means "big sun" which I think he's lived up to.

Though Jinx only my best friend when Keith's not home and she's hungry.

Well that's the way I think it is with all cats honestly.

Do you have pictures of them? More pictures, I mean.

I can send over pictures of Apophenia if you want.

Yeah I have pictures of them.

[She'd soon get some pictures of a fluffy cat and a dog. The cat is mostly laying around. The dog is doing a lot of different things]
