So I'm new here and I figured this might be the best place to ask around for suggestions. What are some of your favorite distractions here? Places, things to do... I'm open to anything.
[He just kind of needs any sort of distraction really bad at the moment. While there's work to do and getting to know his surroundings... he could use something more involved than any of that, something that ca help him stop thinking for five minutes. Keeping busy seems like the best use of his time than any of the other options... which basically consists of moping by himself somewhere. Not all that productive.]
[FILTERED FROM: @WICCAN]
And just one more thing. Has anyone arrived here later than other people they knew back home? Friends, significant others, family... Not in the 'I came here from the future' sense, but in the 'I arrived late to the city and they seem to have made a new life without me' one. Was it hard to find your place with them again or did you even try? I know it's natural that people would change over time, that maybe they'd have a life that doesn't even include you, but... I have no idea how to deal with it. It feels kind of like a bad dream I'm managing to make worse.

[Teddy will absolutely take all the advice though. Even the bad kind.]
He's apparently in a serious relationship... I'm not even sure if he'd get jealous. [That, and you know, playing with some guy's feelings would be bad, right?]
But maybe getting out more couldn't hurt. Or finding someone to make out with again one day.

[ Please, Chase, you wish you were half as hardcore as her. ]
Okay, okay, jealousy might be a dead end for now. But at least you're on the right track with getting out there. Making out: the best cure for a broken heart.
[ Which probably brings things back to Teddy's ORIGINAL QUESTION: ]
There's a lot to do here, by the way. I mean, besides the property damage. What're you into?

[Because that ex of his was totally an actual witch... he wouldn't be surprised.]
Are you a guy with some experience?
[Not trying to pry, but it just sounds like he might have some...]
Before I came here, I played basketball a lot. Video games... collected comics. I guess I used to go to clubs, but I wasn't exactly legal then.
[But that's not a huge issue when you're a shapeshifter who could impersonate other people...]
I guess I am now though, especially here.

[ Little does Chase realize: he totally knows your ex. Mostly because of the whole witchy connection.
As for the question, he hums in thought for a moment. ]
Honestly? I usually just mess with people to deal with any broken heart feelings. [ Therapeutic trolling! Also known as: basically the only thing he's done since returning to Quarantine to find that the guy he had a major thing for vanished... along with the girlfriend. ] But you don't seem like you'd be into that.
Dude, you could so get a pick-up game going. Plus... I could show you around the club scene.
[ Look, this guy's single and he sounds cute, and Chase doesn't get to talk to many possibly-cute single guys his age here! So he'll totally play tour guide, because he's nice like that. ]
no subject
[Although this guy doesn't remind him of Billy exactly.]
Uh-huh. I guess we all have to have our hobbies. [Although he's not sure he likes the messing with people bit, no.]
I'm not sure... I haven't had to pick anyone up in a couple years, so I'm rusty on that. But I wouldn't say no to checking out clubs. I'm Teddy, by the way.
[Hey, whatever the reason -- Teddy is not going to say no to a tour guide at all.]

[ Chase lets out a laugh-- not a mean-spirited one (for once), just kind of teasing. ] Oh man, no, I meant-- like. A basketball game. I promise, I'm so not suggesting going into the whole pick-up artist scene! [ That is, unless you're into that.
There's a grin in his voice as he adds: ] Chase. Your guide to Riverview's hottest clubs.

[Oh-- Teddy's turn to laugh.] Sorry! We were talking about clubs and stuff-- okay, that makes a little more sense. [Teddy would be the worst pick-up artist ever, anyway.]
Nice to meet you, Chase.
