[ Floki has been here a little while now, preferring to keep himself to himself, avoiding his roommates and generally being a bit more upset and unsettled that he's here that he's letting on.

It had taken a few attempts to get used to his smartphone, having nothing like it back in his own world. So, Floki was just pretending it was some kind of magic rune, one that could show you visions and voices if you used it. ]

I want information...

[ A close up of his face showed that of a homemade wooden mask, in the likeness of the God Loki. His accent was that of Northen, Norse to be exact and the Viking had a very unique sound about him like everything was a question or a riddle. ]

I don't care very much for the people here, nor do I wish to bed alongside them. So tell me, are the woodlands outside of the settlement habitable.. I'm asking for a friend Te-hee!

[ There was no friend, Floki just didn't like being as direct as was sometimes needed. He laughed, that strange, hiccup sounding laugh of his and twitched his fingers about periodically as he awaited an answer. ]

[ Floki's interest is beyond piqued. Rubbing his chin with a hand as he listened, growing tired of his Loki mask and so favours to remove it fully, letting the stranger see his face, painted eyes and all. ]

Yes, yes agreed. Following the spirit-line of the earth would work well, though... Tell me more about sinking the spell into an object? That sounds fascinating.

[ Floki was full of questions, he didn't want to overwhelm the man, but he just had to know. ]

What exactly are you, that you are able to perform such magic? a Shaman?

It's a fairly good way of saving energy in the thick of things. Techniques differ depending on what you use, and what you need the spellwork to do, but it boils down to... oh the equivalent of locking something in a box. You use materials conducive to holding the magic you want, and with more complex magic can work the surface with sigils or runes to further hold and direct the spell contained. I've known a few magic users who center their whole craft around things like that.

[Luckily for Floki, while Stephen was generally antisocial at times, on the subject of magic he was plenty chatty.]

A shaman? No, I'm a sorcerer.

[ As he spoke, Floki tried to keep up. Trying to make a mental image of what he was saying. It made sense and yet at the same time, it seems to be so confusing. Floki was used to using Runes, he was talented in healing Runes in fact, but this? This would make everything so much easier! If he could convince the man to show him a little magic, something he could use alongside his Runes maybe? ]

A Sorcerer? ... And you are willing to help me?

[ He feels honnored! ]

Then, teach me! Yes, teach Floki how to enhance a spell with sigils and runes!

I certainly am.

[Stephen offers a grin, leaning back slightly.]

Teaching? Sure, we can give that a shot. How much I can help will depend on your own potential, but enchantments like I was thinking aren't anything too terribly difficult. Probably easier to do in person, so whenever you're free to meet up.

[ Floki liked this man, this Sorcerer. It was always good to have a Seer on your good side, it must be even better luck to have a Sorcerer in your corner! ]

Floki is as free as the blowing wind. I can start my learning whenever it suits you.

[ A smile, eccentric wiggling of his fingers and hand as he laughs that strange hiccup of a sound he so often made. ]

Te-hee! Stephen the Sorcerer is it? And I am just a joker named Floki. It's a pleasure.

[The luck of having Stephen Strange as a friend was debatable. He'd go to hell and back for those he considered friends and allies but at the same time he also tended to draw the attention of bigger, more dangerous threats.]

Well then Floki, seeing how we're both free there's no time like the present. I'll send you my address, we won't be bothered here and most of what we might need is easily at hand.

[Not at all put off by the eccentricities- magic users were a weird lot at best.]

If you're still learning your way around the city I can come meet you, I'm on my way out of work anyways.

[ If it was the will of the Gods that Floki be associated with this man, this Sorcerer, then so be it. He would gladly deal with the downfalls it could bring, for fate is something you can not change. What will be, will be. ]

How kind, though, I feel it would be best to come and find me... I've not yet mastered this device. It's tricksy and strange.

[ It would take him a while to get used to the smartphone, despite trying to convince himself it's just a seeing stone or a special rune. ]
