[Stephen looks… well less like a hobo than he has in past months. Still looks like he needs to sleep for a year, but that seems to be standard.
He ran a hand through his hair, frowning down at something outside of view.]
So… I think someone lost a dog in the park?
[He shifts the phone so the camera shows his feet, and the small puppy that was running circles around him. It slowed to a stop when it noticed the attention, peering up at Stephen and his camera, ears perking curiously. But when no treats or attention were forthcoming, it head-butted against his ankle with a bark.
Stephen took a few steps back, which just encouraged the Lillipup to run after him, tail wagging, catching his pant leg in teeth to tug, like he was trying to pull the man along with him, though if even the small pup knew where to was questionable.]
This little guy look familiar to any of you?

Chase time!]
That's an interesting concept. It would explain this one's insistence on making friends with me rather than being wary, then.

I'm sure it's confused, in a new world without any humans actively seeking to train it. From what I've seen they seem to be happiest after being claimed, but... this one seems to have done the claiming for you.
[She pulls Sprig's pokeball from her bag and shows it to him.] I don't have any extras on hand, but these are what Professor Sycamore taught me to capture them with. Once they entire them... well, I'm not sure exactly what happens but they seem to bond with whoever caught them. They become strictly loyal to that person. And it's easier to carry them around that way, as well.

Well he seems to know what he wants. Sometimes anyways.
[Stephen paused to take a look at the pokeball, considering what she was saying. Guess who completely missed the Pokemon craze back home? This trash!Doctor right here.]
So you're saying it's a good idea to get one of these... where to I go to find them?

[Sprig tries to dive down on the Lillipup, and instead smacks face-first into the grass as he misses. Letha lets out a little giggle as she watches him.]
Supposedly letting them battle helps them grow... both of them could be much bigger and stronger, with practice. But I can't imagine any sort of effective combat coming from such cute creatures.

[Lillipup dances back a few steps as Sprig faceplants, tail wagging as he ducked into a play bow, waiting for the other pokemon to recover so their game could continue.]
Oh I don't know though... cute things sometimes can be a lot tougher than you'd think. Scrappy and all that.

[Not to mention, while Sprig may be a bit flighty he's never lost a fight. Although... he's never really won one, either.
Letha leans down as Sprig gets up, with a mischievous air about her.] Sprig, confuse ray. [The command is mumbled, but Sprig dutifully moves to aim the ray at the Lillipup. And maybe steal the stick if it hits.]

[Lillipup wasn't expecting the sudden shift, and the ray did hit him, sending the pup stumbling back a few steps, shaking his head, losing the stick in the process.
Once he thought he was seeing straight he charged Sprig to try tackling him, but wound up missing entirely, and instead smacking straight into Stephen, sending the man onto his back with a startled wheeze. Popping up with a yip to stand on the sorcerer's stomach the pokemon looked a bit alarmed because he could see Sprig, but where was the person he'd been bossing around? He'd vanished!]

Oh, gosh- are you alright? I didn't expect him to hit you- Sprig, get back here.
[Sprig is now spinning around her head as she crouches to help Stephen up, chirping happy little 'Phan-tump-tump's with his new stick.]
