[A video is posted on the network, Youtube-style with a young woman simply sitting at a table and talking to the camera. Judging from her surroundings, she's sitting in the dining area of one of the communal housing suites.]

Hey, y'all! I know there's a lot of you I haven't met yet, but my name's Misty. And this...

[She lifts up her hands from under the table to reveal a baby alligator, who at the moment is contentedly sleeping nestled in Misty's arms.]

This is Rhiannon. I've gotten a few questions about her, so I thought I'd clear some things up:

First of all, no, I did not steal her from the zoo. I'm a witch and she's my familiar, given to me by the River Guardians for getting through their maze of hell or whatever it's called. I helped her hatch and everything.

Two, she ain't gonna bite you, unless you do something stupid, like try to poke her. Like I don't know where some of y'all were raised but you think it'd be common sense not to go around messin' with alligators. [She shakes her head in disbelief. Some people.] Plus, you know, she's magic, so she's real smart and knows what's goin' on and will listen to me.

Three, I don't know how much bigger she's gonna get. I mean, normal gators can get to be like ten feet or so, but she's not exactly normal so who knows? Maybe I'll have to get some place for her out in the jungle or somethin' where she can be more at home, but we'll see.

[Truth be told, she'd rather not have to leave the communal housing, but she already loves this scaly girl more than anything, so whatever's best for her, she'll do.]

Point bein', you don't have to be scared of her or worry that I'm gonna abandon her in the sewer or some shit. I been around gators all my life and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. If you got any more questions or just wanna meet her, I guess just leave a message on this video!

Oh man, wolverines are such badasses! I've never met one before but I've read about them!

Yeah! [Alex wins so many points for recognizing a Stevie reference (not that she doesn't already have thousands of points in Misty's book, but you know).] Stevie sang it just for me one time and it was the most amazing moment in my life. I'll never forget it!

Wow. Really? You know, that actually doesn't surprise me all that much, just considering who she is.

But it's still amazingly awesome. My Dad would completely lose his mind over that. He's the one who got me into her.

She's cute. Is that what you got out of that egg you found?

Yeah! Stevie's my hero, so I knew right away when Rhiannon hatched what I had to name her.

[It's a little sad to think she'll probably never see Stevie again, but this is a good way to remember her.]

What about you, what did you find?

[ He's a music nerd, as she's well aware by now, particularly late 20th music. So this can't be much of a surprise to her. ]

Oh— okay, wait. You gotta see this.

[ He's moving so the camera is set a little farther away, and at a slightly upwards angle. he's at the shuttle bay right now, which is good since it's a big enough space to show her. Then he gets the soapstone with a whale carving and golden specks she likely remembers him finding while they were down at the caves, moving next to the camera again. ]

Okay. Ready?

[Misty leans forward, very interested. From the moment that he found the carving, she could tell it was magic, but not of a sort she was familiar with. Ever since, she's been dyin' to know what it did.]

[ Jim touches the stone, closing his eyes and focusing his thoughts on the shape etched onto the stone. Soon enough golden specks of light start to float in the air, coming together into the shape of a large, life-sized humpback whale. It moves once in a sway, as though it were actually underwater. ]

Meet Moby Dick. [ Yeah he's serious, that's its name. ]

[ Sup Misty have a half human half snake eying your pet rather curiously and a bit amused. ]

An interesting choice. I must admit I have seen many people here who do not favor...reptiles, including snakes.

[ He doesn't get the bad rap, he is a perfectly good snek, but people are quite quick to judge. ]

They only grow to ten feet? The ones in my world are double the size of that. They are used as first lines of defense when it comes to protecting my kingdom back home.

People just don't like what they don't understand, you know? Even if they don't have one themselves, everybody's at least been around their friends' pet cats or dogs. Not everyone's been around snakes and lizards and stuff. But I love all animals!

And yeah some gators can definitely get bigger. Just sort of depends. Maybe she'll be as big as yours though! Since she's magic and all.
