video @L.Mills

[The video turns on with a very pensive looking Lucy.]

Okay so....I know it's a bit early to think about this--but, better to get a head start on this than to have it sneak up on you.

Does this place do anything for Halloween? Or for the month of October? I know it could be different in other worlds, but where I'm from there's trick-or-treating, people dressed up in costumes, and loads of candy.

There's also spooky and scary stuff, but I'm not really thinking about that.

[No, she's just thinking about the candy, and the costumes and the other fun things that can happen--but mainly it's the candy.

Oh, and movie marathons about wizards and witches.]

If anyone could let me know, that'll be great! Thanks!

October for us is the celebration called Winternights. At the end of the month, we make a sacrifice to the gods and elves, in the hope that they will spare the rest of our food supplies and we will be able to last through the winter. It's also in the hope that Odin and the wild horde won't carry us off at night when they travel along the clouds.

She smiled, the girl was younger but she was quick to catch on.] The elves are beings who live in the realm of Alfem, but they can cross easily over into our worlds as easily as the giants and dwarves. They have powers that humans don't, and sometimes they take humans to their own world-the sagas talk of men descended from the blood of elves. However, they are also easily offended and can cause illness or food to go bad.
