[Steve is restless and it shows. He's looking at the camera almost like he's waiting for it to jump out at him or he's challenging it in some way. While he's making an attempt to look friendly, he's also giving the network a far too serious amount of effort, like he's trying too hard at presenting what he has to say. Steve has a message and apparently it is An Important Issue.]
I'm starting a book club. If any of you have some things you'd like to share, I figure it can't hurt to get together and look at them as a group. If you're interested, let me know. I need the experience. Maybe some of you do too.
[ooc: While Steve says "book club" what he's really doing is creating meeting sessions for people to try new things using a book someone likes as a launching point. It's an interactive book club for trying new hobbies. Because Steve has to get his hands dirty at all times. If you're interested, I will make some book club related logs for sharing activities and messes as well.]

[He sounds determined. Maybe even like he's treating this as his personal mission. Read books and have fun, damn it! He will do it! Don't test him!
Although, that bold declaration doesn't really make him ready to host club meetings.]
If you've got some favorites you'd like to share, we can read those.

[ Technically not impossible if he sticks to a superficial kind of exploration on each genre— Jim can't say he dislikes that, though, since he too likes many kinds of genres, and tries to shift from one to the other often. Exercise his little grey cells, as one famous detective would say. ]
I've got a few titles. Maybe the first meeting could be about each person taking a list of books, and we could decide on which ones to focus on first? So everyone would get the time to read those books if they haven't already. How does that sound?

[ He sounds cheerful for him. It's still quiet and a bit dry, but Steve is happy to have this challenge ahead of him. Trying new things, meeting new people... It's something he wants for himself as much as he feels its his obligation to the world. And there's a part of him, almost childlike, that really does enjoy the fantasy that some books offer. The potential waiting there to exercise his mind along with his body is exciting. ]
That sounds perfect. We can plan out what we like and see what people would want to do.
[ Because his idea is not just to limit the experience to discussion. ]

But books are exciting, yes. If Steve doesn't know much about that, Jim will be glad to show him. ]
Exactly. Doing a quick summary of each book shouldn't be too hard, maybe talk about the length and the writing style... Some types of books are easier to read and interpret than others. We wouldn't want to pick anything too heavy at first, I don't think.
