[The voice you hear is a teenage girl, and she sounds a little disgusted. Whether or not this post was an accident is up for debate. But she'll respond either way.]

What the fuck kind of place is this? I thought the adults were supposed to care. Sure doesn't look like it.

I need a cigarette.

[S'all good, kid.]

Ah. That. That's... not normal or common. Every place has its monsters, though. When we smashed a den of them a couple months back, one managed to squirm away. It's being dealt with.

Literal or metaphorical? Literal ones... well, there are plenty. But they lie outside the fence. Don't go out there and you'll be fine.

Metaphorical ones... who can say? But not many, I think. Not in this place. There are a lot of decent people here, and plenty who have experience hunting down the monsters of the world. Both kinds.

Honestly? It takes some experience. Sometimes they're quite obvious: someone's far too off-putting, or you catch them looking at you strangely. Sometimes you can see it in their eyes. But some are good at hiding it. Best thing to do is just trust your gut. If you feel nervous or uneasy around someone, even if you can't figure out why, listen to yourself.

There's no teaching instinct, but I think it'd be possible to teach what to look out for.

Well those are a dime a dozen.
