Belgian Malinois, approx five months in age, answers to the name "DOMITIUS/DOM."

He is trained not to approach or allow others to approach him when I'm not present. Disappeared from the Perimeter Guard facilities approx four hours ago. Vigorous search of the area has yielded no results.

[ OOC NOTE: What happened, basically, is that someone decided Dom looked expensive enough to steal, and drugged and took him. Which means they now have a very angry Belgian Malinois on their hands, or with his teeth sunk into their hands. That's part of what I don't understand. It's not as though he could open doors on his own. Someone should have seen him.

That's really suspect. Either the perimeter guard is slacking something fierce or there's more to it than a pup getting loose. Is he usually prone to running off?

Never. He stays close to me almost all the time. Sometimes follows the German Shepard he's friends with out of the RR-1 offices, which is why I didn't think much of it when he wasn't at my desk when I came back from the bathroom.

to narrow down who was most likely to see him last. though i hope he would have told you by now that your dog was with his if that's the case

I assume he would have. And I know he never would do anything to put Dom in harm's way. They're familiar faces around the shuttle bay and offices, friendly with most people there. The dogs, I mean.

[ A pause. ]

No one would hurt them. No one would have reason to hurt them. It wouldn't make sense.

I've met him and he did seem a decent sort. Just eliminating options as much as I can.

Those familiar with him might, but it's not terribly difficult for someone to get into the compound. A stranger, someone less friendly.

I'll help look and rule out options before we jump to worst case scenarios.

Thank you. I just got confirmation that he's still alive and present on the moon, but that doesn't narrow down where he might be.

I know it's a big place to try and cover, but at least we're confident he didn't get out past the wall. Or get taken that way. He's way too recognizable.

as am I actually. Might have seen each other in passing though I would have been drawn to a puppy like a moth to a flame

[She doesn't elaborate, because she doesn't know why Chyler's asking. So far, people in this place have been fine with magic, but coming from a world where it's almost never safe to openly admit that, Hawke's still cautious.]

are you a student at Gramarye? what sort of magic are you trying to learn?

Not officially. I've just been reading, watching. I'm trying to learn to call light. I thought it would be a good idea to start with something simple, but I'm not sure what I want to do from there.

Something practical. Probably attack or defense.

it's a good start. given how different magic is between each world, it's hard for me to give any advice. did you not have a chance to learn magic back home?

You could say that. It didn't exist. I'm far more comfortable with the idea of interstellar travel.
