[And so EDI comes, at her steady, tireless pace. She doesn't know what Jintetsu looks like, or sounds like, but she knows where to go. Of course, there leaves then only the small detail of whether or not someone will be willing to approach a metal woman, a stranger no less. But that's not necessarily EDI's problem, now is it?]

[Ohp - right away, huh? Good thing he's already in the building. Jintetsu heads down to the lobby to wait, but he's not waiting long. He's not hard to pick out of a crowd, fortunately, between the steel mask, the arm (crudely sprinted with some cloth and rebar), and the eyeball sword.

He doesn't have any trouble noticing EDI, either, but... her appearance is so different from what he expected, he doesn't even realize at first that she's who was coming to meet him. A metal woman...?

Haganemaru follows his line of sight, curious, and asks him quietly-] Wow. Is that a doll? Or... what's the word that guy used?

[EDI gets a certain amount of gawking, but the arm is what gives him away. It is, after all, what she's here for.]

it's not like the machines they have here . more like the stuff that goes into karakuri dolls but not exactly

I have not heard of a karakuri doll before. Is it mechanical, like a droid?

and i haven't heard of droids
but yeah they're mechanical . mostly they just do little things like serve tea or whatever . the thing i need fixed does a lot more than that but the principle ought to be roughly the same

Droids are machines programmed with a job, purposes ranging from cleaning to battle to piloting to medical aid. Intelligence level varies as well.

If you can tell me what part needs fixing, maybe there is a correlation to be found. I have experience with programming droids.

oh right, sorry. machines can mean a few kinds of things like your standard factory machines built to do one thing or construction equipment or whatever or robots as well.

robots are like little mechanical things that move around and do things on their own. a lot more delicate than the other kinds of machines and take a lighter touch and a lot more finesse
